Happy Holidays Blog Hop - Cold & Cuddly

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Happy Holidays blog hop. The Happy Holidays blog Hop will feature sneak peaks of the different stamp sets and accessories the Holiday Mini Catalog has to offer. There are 40 jam packed pages of the Holiday Mini Catalog that will fit any of your holidays needs!

If you have been following the blog hop in order you've just seen Kim's wonderful creation's at Stitchin' N Stampin' on Paper featuring Wondering Words.

Here on Stamping Addiction I will be showcasing the ever so cute Cold & Cuddly Stamp set! This stamp set is fun to use and surprisingly versatile.

My first project is a great way to help spruce up your gift card giving needs!

The pouch can be used for other small objects, such as candy, money, jewelry, hot cocoa, tickets, subscriptions and much more.

Recipe: Stamp Set - Cold & Cuddly; Ink - Bashful Blue and Silver ; Cardstock - Going Gray, Whisper White, and Apricot Appeal; Accessories - Silver Cord, Dimensionals, Bashful Blue 1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon, Iridescent Ice, Silver Embossing Powder, Paper Piercing Tool, and Silver Brads.

Next I have a neat way you can make something fun for young children to help keep them occupied on their holiday break.

My little one loves to play tic tac toe and what a fun way to add a little splash to this classic game and that can be used over and over again! I added a small cello bag to the back of this 6x6 page to keep the game pieces all together.

Recipe: Stamp Set - Cold & Cuddly; Ink - Soft Suede and Bashful Blue; Cardstock - Whisper White.

My last creation is perfect for all those small gift packaging needs.

This was originally going to something completely different but I'm glad for what it turned into. I decide to put the cocoa and marshmallows inside the box because I altered the saying to say "Here's to keep you warm". It would be a fun way to package a hat and scarf set or any other ideas you can come up with. I have a tutorial that I will share with you next week just make sure to bookmark or subscribe to my site so you don't miss out!

Recipe: Stamp Set - Cold & Cuddly; Ink - Sahara Sand and Bashful Blue; Cardstock - Bashful Blue and Whisper White ; Accessories - Real Red Marker, Basic Black Marker, Iridescent Ice, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals, 5/8" Satin Ribbon, and Christmas Cocoa SDSP.

Flagstaff Convention - Scallop Bag

The big shot has become a must use tool for me. At our mini convention Judi brought her's to share with everyone and she brought along the scallop die. (One I don't own just yet.) We made scallop bags out of the Cottage Wall DSP.

I just love this paper ... I am going to have to buy several packages of it soon!! The box is super simple to put together and you can just add a few embellishments to add that little extra bit to it! Happy Stamping!!

Flagstaff Convention - It's all about the Shoes

I'm a complete shoe freak ... I own more shoes then I will ever admit. It's sort of like my stamp addiction if that tells you anything. So when Mindy showed us what her project was for us I was excited. I had always wanted to make one of these shoes. I do have to tell you it was a bit confusing at first but now I can put these better much quicker!!

The template is from Ellen Hutson. The link is for her witches shoe which is very similar to this one since I couldn't find the link to the high heeled shoe.

If you decide to make any of the shoes please link back to me in my comments so I can see all of your great creations!! Happy Stamping!!

Flagstaff Convention Mini Album

This next project for our mini convention was design by Kasie. This is a super cute idea and is fun to make!! It's one of those gift items that could be used anytime of year!!

By the time we did this project everyone was teasing me because during each project I was changing this around just a bit. Apparently I'm one of those "people" that can't just leave it the way it is. I mean no offense by it because the projects were great they way they are ... it's just some type of compulsion. Anyways Happy Stamping!!

Flagstaff Convention - File Folder

The next project was most likely my favorite project one we did. Beside the project being completely adorable it's in my favorite colors and the lovely Cottage Wall DSP. This one was created by the ever talented Judi.

Told you it was cute!!! The picture on the right shows how it's a file folder. I'm telling you it was soo simple to make and I will be making many more of these!! Happy Stamping!

Flagstaff Convention

The demo gals that I hang out with also could not go to convention this year year so we all got together had one of our own!! It was a ton of fun and just overall a great day together!! We are definitely going to have to do this each year!!

We made a bunch of neat projects and I will share them with you all over the next few posts. I figure I will do the cards first so here is the one I designed.

After what everyone else did (which you will see) I should have done something more! But I like my little card. It's quick and simple, the two must haves for me when I am doing a workshop. Stay tuned for the next project! Happy Stamping!

Pleasantly Surprised

I didn't get to go to convention this year so I've been getting updates from Stampin' Addicts!! A link to their site is on my side bar. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my cards on the display boards. You can see it here, it's the candle one on the top right hand corner.

One thing I will miss about convention is all the great swap ideas!! Since I just couldn't miss out entirely I have a Convention Buddy who is going to do a few swaps for me!!!! This is one I sent her to was swap out for me.

Itsn't it cute!! This one was for a one layer swap. These are a bit more of a challenge for me but a lot of fun!! Happy Stamping!

So Glad It's August

because July was a bad month!! I've been joking with some friends that someone put some kind of curse on me. In the last two weeks I've been sicker than a dog. I started off with some nasty head cold. Then a few days later I went out to eat with some friends and broke out in hives. I still can't pinpoint exactly what I ate to cause them, my only know allergy is mushrooms. A few days after that I got the most severe stomach flu I have ever had WHILE camping with the scouts. A portapotty is sooooo not where you wanna be sick at!! THEN the other day I was bite by a spider and it got so bad I had to see my doctor the the good thing was that I am already on an allergy medication or it could have been even worse. All of this on top of my shoulder neck issues from that car accident at the beginning of the year. So any good luck you wanna send my way would be greatly appreciated!!!

In the meantime here is another one of my creations using the My Friend stamp set.

I just love this butterfly it is too cute!! I did use some of my now hoarded in color paper from the last catalog. Happy Stamping!
