Artisan 3-D Project part 2

This was another hair clip I created.

I created this set of hair clips using the eyelet border punch along a long strip of paper then created flowers with them. I add rhinestone brads to add a little bling to them as well spritzing them with shimmer paint. Happy Stamping!

Artisan 3-D Project part 1

This next project was a collection of sorts so I am going to show each piece before I share the final project.

I made these little hair clips with foam that I cut little flowers out of using the big shot and the baskets and bloom die. After that I heated them slightly and then glued a half pearl from the pretties kit. Happy Stamping!!

Artisan Scrapbook Project #3

Here is what I submitted as my last scrapbook project. This one was my favorite!!

I created the titles with My Digital Studio. I used the Viola stamp set and paper pierced the guy. To make the book I used five of our large flat cellophane bags and sandwiched them between red card stock and tied them all together with hemp. I used several of the clip from the clip assortment to help hold the pages in. Overall the page is 8x8. Happy Stamping!!

Artisan Scrapbook Project #1

Since I never took a picture of my 5th card project I am going to move on to the scrapbook pages. Hopefully when I go to convention my last card project will be on the display boards and I can get a picture then.

This is a page of our crazy dog Aspen. It's a 12x12 spread. I made the title using My Digital Studio. The stamp set I used was D is for Dog. To make the paper bones I cut out chipboard with my big shot and the magnetic movers and shapers heart and tag pieces and then pieced them together to get the bone shape. I then covered them with cardstock from the patterns pack paper. Happy Stamping!!

Almost Artisan Project #4

This is the next card project I created for my artisan submissions. This first set of three pictures is the original project.

I had originally created this card for Stampin Addicts Birthday Blog Hop back in February using the stamp set Greetings Earthling. At this time I was going back an forth about whether or not I should even enter the contest. I liked this card so much I decide I wouldn't use it for the blog hop but instead make another one for the contest. So I changed it just a little bit and made this one to send in.

It's the same one just a little crisper and a bit more done up.

The inside I did just a bit different. I didn't add the rolled back image but added a few more characters; plus I changed the colors to the lights on the UFO. To create the UFO I used the pop up ball die and then I covered it with versamark. To get the silver sparkles I mixed then Fine Galaxy Silver Glitter with clear embossing powder. This was by far my favorite project!! Hopefully I will get to see it again on the display boards at convention! Happy Stamping!

Almost Artisan Project #3

This was my submission under the category I call quick and simple and I thought it was too cute!

To make this card I used Cheers to You. I stamped the wine glasses in gold and then embossed with clear embossing powder and added some iridescent ice ice to make it look like the glasses had some liquid in them. I used the word sparkle from Warm Words and did that with versamark and iridescent ice as well. But my favorite part is the little bow!! The card is smaller and measures like 2 x3. Happy Stamping!

Almost Artisan Project #2

I wanted to include a masculine card in my projects so I came up with this little beauty!

I really loved how this card came out and at the time it was a card I would not normally put together and now I like to layer more. That's the great thing about this contest it really pushes to be your best! I used Extreme Elements and Extreme Snowboard. I stamped in versamark the larger background stamp from extreme elements behind the guy to make it look like snow spray and then embossed it with iridescent ice; it made a really cool effect! The snowflakes are cut with my big shot and snowflakes #2. I think I will be using this same concept on my snow play pictures if and when I scrapbook them! Happy Stamping!!

Almost Artisan Project #1

As I was saying several posts back I entered the Artisan Contest that Stampin' Up! held and I wish I could say I was a winner. In some rights I am though because I really went out there and tried ... this was my first time entering and I learned lots!

As I was getting the photo cropped and ready I noticed that I forgot to take a couple of pictures so I only have 8 projects to share ... what's even worse I can't remember what the 5th card I sent even was! Anyways here is the first card I made:

It uses the Flores Suaves stamp set in the Spanish Supplement; one of my favorites because of that cute little butterfly! I don't usually use so many layers but it worked out perfectly for this card. The background layer I did the reinker spread technique in reverse and LOVE how it came out. I water colored the butterfly after I embossed the image and then spritzed it with shimmer paint. So what all do you think?? Happy Stamping!

ETA: I also wanted to share the sites to the other gals who are posting or have already posted their submissions!! A ton of creativity out there and some super ideas!! So when you get a chance check them out :)

Stampin' Addicts Last Chance Blog Hop - Just Sports

It's time for Stampin' Addicts Last Chance Blog Hop. This blog hop showcases all the wonderful stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of this month! DISCLAIMER: if you don't already have these stamp sets you will by the end of the hop!

If you are just joining the hop I'll lead you to the next stop at the end of this post. If not then you just came from Debra's Heartfelt Inkspiration and saw all the great projects using Nursery Necessities.

I was bummed when I saw the retiring list and saw they were phasing out all the cute little sports sets ... having two boys this are very well used in my house! I picked Just Baseball, Just Soccer and Just Basketball to showcase today.

This first card I made with Just Soccer:

The colors are a bit off but I used Basic Black, Sage Shadow and Whisper White. This would be a great little card to have a gift certificate in. It measures 3x6. You can't see the details to well but the mini black stars are crimped as well as the base sage shadow cardstock. Score and the soccer balls are all embossed with black embossing powder.

This next card was made using Just Baseball ... one of my favorite sets!

I wanted this one to have the worn out look so I distressed the base and the not quite navy cardstock pieces. I also used my big shot to emboss the lines on the base. Added the hat with the saying and topped it off with some buttons! I love how it turned out!!

Here is my last project, it use Just Basketball and the Big Shot.

It's my favorite of this trio. I made the card holder using the box #2 die and cutting out 2 which I taped back to back. I decorated the outside of the box and made then matching 3x3 cards.

Hope you enjoyed the projects I shared today and now hop on over to to check out the next stop which is Melissa's Fun Time Stampin' and she is using my favorite all time stamp set ever JUST JAWING!! Happy Stamping!

Just Jawing?

Just Jawing is retiring?? WHAT?? I have no idea what I'm gonna do ... well actually I do I'll just keep making cards with it since it is my favorite set of all times!! It's the only stamp set that has it's own label! Since it is retiring and IF you haven't gotten it yet then hopefully this card will get you to change your mind!

The colors here are Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red. I added iridescent ice to the eyes to make them pop as well as the edges of the card, some chocolate chip ribbon and some black hearts. I cut the scallop circle out with my big shot. I think this is my favorite card using Just Jawing and it was just a 5 minute card!

Be sure to join Stampin' Addicts on our Last Chance blog hop starting tomorrow. You can join the hop from my site. See you tomorrow and Happy Stamping!!

Teacher's Gift

School has officially ended here after a few extra days to make up some snow days. Since school was coming to a close I knew I had to make a gift for my youngest son's teacher. I decided I would make her some thank you cards since all year long she would give them out; I wanted to gift to be useful to her, I'm sure teachers get a lot of gifts they don't really use. So anyways her is what I made for her.

Thanks you cards using the All A Flutter single stamp; my big sister from this round gave it to me so it came in handy at just the right time!! Then I made her this little box to keep them in:

I made the flower with felt and the Blossoms die using my big shot ... I love how it cuts through all kinds of things! After I applied the Cottage Wall DSP I coated it with it decoupage. His teacher loved it!! Happy Stamping!
