Happy Birthday Zombie Style!

As you all know I have a thing for zombies and skulls and well so does the rest of my family.  I must have rubbed off on them!! Well my little one turned 12 at the beginning of the month and I was trying to decide what kind of card to make him and I came up with this rockin' card!!  It uses the set Just Jawing that I will forever keep and use even though it has been long since retired as well as the set Extreme Elements.  He loved this card almost as much as I did!!  Happy Stamping!!

Tool Time

Totally Tool was a must have set for me and I used it all the time so for me this is another set I am sad to see retired!  This card is rather simple as well and can be used for Father's Day, Birthday or a Think of You card.  I stamped the saw image twice.  I colored the first one in using my water color crayons and then used my aqua painter to add the silver shimmer paint to give it a metallic look.  I cut out the handle on the second image to lay over the first to give it some depth and added several mini silver brads.  I placed the main image over a large oval cut from the ovals die.   Then I got some silver metallic paper and ran it through my big shot with the Houndstooth EF.  I round the edges with my circle punch to create tabs to add more mini brads to tie it all in.  Happy Stamping!!

Crazy for Cupcakes

Who doesn't love cupcakes??  I know I do and I get every set that has cupcakes in it!  Crazy for Cupcakes was no exception and it was a set I highlighted for my retirement party/workshops I had recently.  This was another real simple card and perfect for just about anyone!!  I stamped the main image and then colored it in with my markers.  I added a touch of bling my adding iridescent ice to the frosting and candle flame.  Then I jut layered it with different cardstock, ribbon and dsp to pull all the colors in together!!  Happy Stamping!!

One Last Vintage Vogue Card

Here's another card I created for my retirement party/workshop. I used the set Vintage Vogue which I am soo said to see retire!  I went with a vintage theme for this card and I thought the Daffodil Delight was a bit brighter than I wanted to a crimped a piece until it was pretty flimsy and then separate the layers and the inside was slightly lighter so I used that side.  Plus it has a nice fleece like texture. I rocked and rolled the Friends image to get both colors, Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede.  Then stamped flowers an cut them out.  I layered two soft suede ones to get the large flower.  Added some ribbon, pearls and lattice die piece to pull it all together.  Happy Stamping!!

Melon Mambo!

I've been absent from blogging lately so trying to get back into the swing of things.  Here's a real simple card we made at my latest workshop as the make and take.  We used the stamp Elizabeth by embossing it with Melon Mambo embossing powder.  We stamped different words using the set Fabulous Phrases and then punched them out using the large oval punch and then highlighted that with some Melon Mambo DSP using the scallop oval punch.  Add a touch of cardstock and dotted ribbon both in Melon Mambo!  It came out super cute!  Happy Stamping!!

One Layer Delight

One layer cards are always the hardest cards for me to make not really sure why but I think it's because I always have to add one more thing but that would defeat the purpose of one layer!!  On this one I used the set Field Flowers and part of a stamp from On Your Birthday. I add a small bow made from Baker's Twine.  Lastly I scored a double line around the edges.  Oh and I added some shimmer paint to the flowers.  Happy Stamping!!

Easy Event - Birthday

Here's yet another card I made using the set Easy Events!! This set is so versatile and I love using it!!  The card itself is pretty simple ... I ran the base through my big shot using the stripes ef than layered some dsp and a bit of (retired) ribbon.  I added some silver glitter paper to add some bling than attached my main piece with the cupcake.  The cupcake I colored in using my markers and aqua painter.  Happy Stamping!!
