Top Note Treat

I love using the top note from the new Big Shot line we have. I found it to be very versitle and use it all the time. They are especially perfect to make bag toppers with.

Cute huh?!?! Beside being cute it also makes it super easy to. Quick and easy ... my kind of project.

Here is another card I made that's SU mostly all except for the focal image. I did this one using brass template again and clear embossing paste that I added glitter to. It sure makes it sparkle! Happy Stamping!

Halloween Treat Holder

There has been many different versions of this mummy, small to large and lately it's been the large one from Martha Stewart but I still like this one from a Stampin' Up demonstrator from years past. Here is my version I even used a stamp from years past ... you know since I have all the stamps I ever bought still and probably always will.

I think this mummy from Hey Ghoul Friend is one of the cutest. Doesn't he look like he is having a blast! I also thought I would share this card I made. All but the main image is done using SU! I did the image using a brass template and gold embossing paste. I just love these brass template even though they aren't very popular these days.

I know that usually I do a tutorial today but the two that I have ready are more for Christmas so I'm going to wait to share those until next month. I still have several Halloween Projects I want to share first so sorry no tutorial this week. Happy Stamping!

There are only a few spots left if you are interested in my stamp camp so don't forget to get your spot today!!

Technique Tuesday - What Not to do

I've been getting questions regarding the Big Shot and about it's compatibility with the cuttlebug embossing folder. Since I own only one cuttlebug embossing folder I figured I would use it and try it out. I used one cutting plate, the pre made sandwich and a cardboard slip as my sandwich and I do have to say it works superbly with the folder. Look how nice the impression was. (sorry about the blurry pic) So for those of you who were wondering yes it does work!

So I thought I would try it on the brass stencils and see how the embossing worked. For my sandwich I used the same as above but added foam underneath the cardstock. It also made a nice clear impression BUT make sure you put the cutting plate on top or you get this......

not so good for your brass template if you don't. My Big Shot tried to suck up the tmplate and I just about had a coronary. Thanks goodness I was able to fix by running it back through with it upside down and now it's perfectly flat again.

Today is my wedding Anniversary. We've been married for 4 years now, been together for 14. My husband is very supportive of my addiction. He actually encourages me to buy stamps. But anyways he came home today with this. Aren't they beautiful!!

Later tonight we are going out to dinner. I think he's pretty wonderful!!
