Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop - Remembering Christmas

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Winter blog hop!! There are sooo many wonderful Holiday ideas on this hop, I cannot wait to try some of them!!  If you are following the hop in order than you just came from Stitchin n Stampin on Paper where Kim made some wonderful projects using Joyful Christmas!  If not that's okay as there are links at the bottom to keep you going.

Today all my projects use Remembering Christmas as the focal point stamp set.  I just love this set!!  It can be very versatile!  This first project is rather straight forward the only technique was I stamped the main image for a different project and was left with ink on my stamp with a pattern etched in the ink so I stamped the image to get the effect below on the stamped image.   Just got to say that Washi Tape is awesome ... perfect embellishment!!

This next project I LOVE!!  I did not use it for the expected Holiday card but instead for a masculine Thank You card.  It actually match the idea in my head perfectly!!  I think I may even try another one in pink or as a hunting card with red.  Ya I know a little morbid but out here in Arizona hunting is like second nature.  The Thanks comes from Harvest of Thanks and the splotches are from Gorgeous Grunge.

This next card has a whole lot of sparkle to it and who doesn't like some sparkle!!  The only thing is in person you can see all the glitter on the Buck.

Lastly is this super cute canvas art project!!  This would be a great gift item!!  I stamped the Buck onto a piece of canvas and then added a splash of paper and accessories to amp it up a bit before layering it onto a canvas frame.  The saying comes from the stamp set Really Good Greetings.

Thanks for joining our hop!  I hope you enjoyed the projects I shared with you today!  The next stop on the hop is Rubber Stamping and Card Making with Yapha who is showcasing the beautiful Winter Frost Specialty DSP.  Happy Stamping!!

Happy 13th Birthday!

Today my youngest turns Thirteen!  He's a pretty cool kid (if I say so myself!) and likes his cards to be amped up!  So this was his non traditional birthday card.  The main skull images and the saying are not Stampin' Up and I have had them forever so not sure where I got them.  Everything else is though including the grey splatter which is from the set Extreme Elements.  I grunged up the edges to make it more masculine looking.  My son thought it was awesome so mission accomplished!!  Happy Stamping!

Display Stamper Submissions

Stampin' Up! recently did a call for the opportunity to be a Display Stamper and of course I wanted to try out!!  So here are my submissions.I used only two stamp sets for all of my projects Swallowtail from the current mini catalog and Loving Thoughts from the main catalog.

Usually for Display Stamping you make small type projects but since this was to show my stamping style I did make some larger projects.  This first project is one of two of the 3d items I created, it's a folder pocket that I created to hold those super cute chocolate carrots.

This next project is a picture frame that I plan on hanging in my craft room ... just love the colors!!

The next three projects are my card submissions.  Each one uses the Swallowtail in a different way.

Lastly is my scrapbook page and this one is over the top!! In my opinion the picture just does not do it justice!!  It's also not the way I usually scrapbook but I still love it!!  I'm thinking this one is going to end up in a shadowbox.

Later on I will post some more information detailing each project, supplies, closeups and how I got so many different sizes of butterfly's with just one stamp ... so stayed tuned!  Happy Stamping!!

Vanilla Scoop

Doesn't this card just look yummy!!  I love it .... but I am fond of this set!!  Here I took the Ice Cream image from the mouthwatering set and created this vanilla flavored scoop.  And yes it is embossed with the vanilla scented ep!!  Other than that it's just more simple layers.  Happy Stamping!!

Ooh and the next posts will becoming from convention so stay tuned!!

Mambo Madness

Oops guess I didn't schedule enough posts.  I had more dental work done ... then was frantically trying get everything ready for convention in my last three days.  I'll sharing some cards that I had in my vault that went to my last secret sister; didn't want to ruin the surprise!  So a few of these will have now retired product them on them but since many of you keep your sets forever like me I'm sure you could still use the ideas!! On this one I used the Triple Treat Flower and embossed it in Melon Mambo!  Love all the pink on this card even though I am sooo not a pink kinda gal.  The rest of this card is all about the layers! Happy Stamping!!

Delightful Cupcake

This was a card I made during th spring that I didn't have a chance to share while the occasions mini was current.  I used the set called Sweet Cake!!  It's a super fun set to make layers with since it was designed with lots of detail.  I stamped the main image several different times using different colors to get all the layers I wanted.  The frosting is embossed with crystal clear ep to give it that frosting type look.  I swear this card looked good enough to eat!!  My favorite part though is the ribbon .. to create the dual color I just used my marker along on edge of it.  Too cute huh!??!  Happy Stamping!!

Orange Creamsicle

Mouthwatering originally came out in the mini catalog and I was sooo happy that it made it into the big catty!!  Here's a super simple card I made using this set!  Since I was a kid those orange creamsicles were my favorite ice cream and wanted to recreate the joy of biting that first bite!  The side ice creams are embossed with clear ep and the center with Tangerine Tango EP to make it pop a bit more.  I used the scallop punch to take a bite out of it as well as adding a mini popsicle stick.  Happy Stamping!!

Bowling Invite

The other day I mention that my little one had a Birthday and with Birthday's come party's so I had to make up a bunch of invitations.  He decided he wanted to have another bowling party so I had to bust out a long long since retired set to make his invites, a set called Have A Ball.  (Yes I keep each and every set I have ever gotten BUT I still use them!)  I kept them super simple since I made over 20 of them.  Happy Stamping!!

Crazy for Cupcakes

Who doesn't love cupcakes??  I know I do and I get every set that has cupcakes in it!  Crazy for Cupcakes was no exception and it was a set I highlighted for my retirement party/workshops I had recently.  This was another real simple card and perfect for just about anyone!!  I stamped the main image and then colored it in with my markers.  I added a touch of bling my adding iridescent ice to the frosting and candle flame.  Then I jut layered it with different cardstock, ribbon and dsp to pull all the colors in together!!  Happy Stamping!!

Melon Mambo!

I've been absent from blogging lately so trying to get back into the swing of things.  Here's a real simple card we made at my latest workshop as the make and take.  We used the stamp Elizabeth by embossing it with Melon Mambo embossing powder.  We stamped different words using the set Fabulous Phrases and then punched them out using the large oval punch and then highlighted that with some Melon Mambo DSP using the scallop oval punch.  Add a touch of cardstock and dotted ribbon both in Melon Mambo!  It came out super cute!  Happy Stamping!!

Birthday Goal

This card was made for a friend of my Son's Birthday and I love how it came out!! It was made using Goal and Extreme Elements. I went with the soccer theme since the boys are team mates for club soccer and their team color is green. It's a good card for that tween stage that can be so hard to create for. Happy Stamping!!
