Stamping Addicts Blog Hop - Howl-o-ween Treat

http://www.stampinaddicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9586&p=435749

Thanks for joining Stampin' Addicts on our Fall Holiday Blog Hop where we are showcasing items from our new amazing Holiday Mini Catalog!  If you are hopping in order you just came from Kathleen's blog where she showed off some cute projects using Sweet Hauntings!

As you all know I have slight liking towards skull,s some might even call it obsession!  When I saw the set Howl-o-ween Treat I knew this was a set I had to have and it's the one I am using for this hop.  I also used the matching Boo to You framelits!!  Love not having to cut out my shapes.

This first project is a little treat box I created using half sheet of cardstock and is the perfect size to make Halloween treats with!  Ha!  I used the adorable owl that comes with this set.  I used several of new products here, can you spot them all? Love having the silver cording back, Happy Haunting DSP, and the candy stamp came from Haunt You Later.

This next project is a quick and simple card, but still super cute!!  I used the saying as the main focal image and used the little pumpkin stamp as an accent.  I love our double sided paper and just flipped over the edge to get both sides to show on this card.

The last card I created of course uses the skull stamp. I could not post a set of projects without showing it!!  I also used the the spider web doilies and the haunting saying comes from Cheer All Year.  I love this card!!

I hope you enjoyed the projects I shared!  You can continue on the hop by visiting Stampin' with Paula and her amazing projects!  Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Addicts - New Catty Blog Hop - Perfect Blend

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts New Catalog blog hop!  We are showcasing all new stamp sets from the 2013-2014 catalog.  My blog is the second stop on the hop but if you started here it's okay as we are all linked together!!  If you started in order than you just came from Stampin' with Paula who made some wonderful projects using Timeless Talk.

There are so many fun new stamps that I had a hard time picking which stamp set to work with but I finally decide to go with Perfect Blend.  The coffee cup is just waaay to cute even though I don't drink coffee!

My first project, well actually it was the last one I made, is a cute little gift that you could give to just about anyone!!I just used a square 4x4 piece of cardstock and formed it into a cone to create the pouch.  I then decorated it with some of the new chevron ribbon (LOVE!) and a cut out coffee cup that I watercolored to match my color scheme which I took from the colors in the coffee packets.  To get the striped band I used the set Six-Sided Sampler.

My next project is a sweet and simple card and it's slightly smaller than your average card measuring 4 1/2x 4 1/2.  I stamped the main coffee cup image, I watercolored the lid and cut the band out from a scrap of Natural Composition DSP.  Too get the Strawberry Slush polka dots I again used the Six Sided Sampler stamp set.

This next card is slightly more stepped up card, still simple but has more bling to it!  Here I stamped the coffee cup and watercolored the lid and band with pool party.  I created the strips with you guessed it the Six Sided Sampler set with masking to keep all the strips on the cup.  I added some more of the fun chevron ribbon and candy dots (fun embellishment!).

My last card is a bit over the top and sort of has a vintage feel!  On the base I made coffee stains using my lid of plastic embellishment cases.  I stamped two coffee cups and colored them again with watercoloring and yes the Six Sided Sampler for the bands.  I used a bunch of different embellishments; paper clay, candy dots, ruffled ribbon and natural trim.  If you look closely at the bow you will see that it is slightly scorched.  I did this by running my heat gun over it to give it the worn look.

I hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I did making them!!  The next stop on the hop is Lily's Ink Pad where she is sharing some awesome projects using Tag It!  Happy Stamping!!

Back to Blogging

Wow it's been a loooong time!  As some of you know I had a LOT of dental work done, got braces, couldn't eat and lost a bunch of weight.  During all of that I lost my energy and mojo so I hadn't stamped for over 6 months.  Since February I really worked on getting myself back into gear and started stamping again!  This project unfortunately isn't one of them as I have a bunch of not yet shown projects, the next post will be full of just completed projects!  This card doesn't have much stamping except the sentiment, instead it uses the paper flowers that I dyed using my aqua painter and refill ink.  I hope you like it!!  I love the colors myself!  Happy Stamping!!

Delightful Cupcake

This was a card I made during th spring that I didn't have a chance to share while the occasions mini was current.  I used the set called Sweet Cake!!  It's a super fun set to make layers with since it was designed with lots of detail.  I stamped the main image several different times using different colors to get all the layers I wanted.  The frosting is embossed with crystal clear ep to give it that frosting type look.  I swear this card looked good enough to eat!!  My favorite part though is the ribbon .. to create the dual color I just used my marker along on edge of it.  Too cute huh!??!  Happy Stamping!!

Orange Creamsicle

Mouthwatering originally came out in the mini catalog and I was sooo happy that it made it into the big catty!!  Here's a super simple card I made using this set!  Since I was a kid those orange creamsicles were my favorite ice cream and wanted to recreate the joy of biting that first bite!  The side ice creams are embossed with clear ep and the center with Tangerine Tango EP to make it pop a bit more.  I used the scallop punch to take a bite out of it as well as adding a mini popsicle stick.  Happy Stamping!!

Up Up and Away!!

This is such a fun little set called Up Up & Away and I have wanted this set forever!!  Here I used it on a very simple mailable card.  (Sometimes I get a little carried away)  Here I layered 2 of the balloons on top of some stamped clouds that I dressed up with clear dazzling details, I also stamped those same little clouds on the tempting turquoise base. The orange strip i ran through the big shot with the hounds tooth EF.  Happy Stamping!!

Melon Mambo!

I've been absent from blogging lately so trying to get back into the swing of things.  Here's a real simple card we made at my latest workshop as the make and take.  We used the stamp Elizabeth by embossing it with Melon Mambo embossing powder.  We stamped different words using the set Fabulous Phrases and then punched them out using the large oval punch and then highlighted that with some Melon Mambo DSP using the scallop oval punch.  Add a touch of cardstock and dotted ribbon both in Melon Mambo!  It came out super cute!  Happy Stamping!!

Making It Simple

I have a wide range of cards I make from one layer to over the top and lately I've been stuck in the over the top mode but thought I would show one of the simpler cards I made. Just because it's simple doesn't make it any less pretty!! Here I used the set Zoo review and since I hadn't used the Giraffe image I used that one here. I stamped it by inking it with a mixing it with cajun craze and gold shimmer paint which gives it a really elegant look. I spritzed the base card stock with Log Cabin smooch spritz to give the base a bit of shimmer too. Then added some coordinating cardstock and dsp with a couple of brads and that's it!! It's got this great subtle shimmering effect that really looks great in person! Happy Stamping!!

Stampin' Addicts Saleabration Blog Hop - One Big Sale-A-Bration CD (My Digital Studio)

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Sale-a-bration Blog Hop where you will find all kinds of creative ways to use your new Sale-a-bration Stamp Sets, My Digital Studio CD's and fun embellishments! Stop by and let us know what you think about the hop!!

If you are hoping in order you just came from Mickey's site Paper Conversation where she showed off some super cool ideas using the set Language of Friendship ... I'm not a big bird fan but boy were those cute!!

Today I will be sharing some projects I made using the One Big Sale-A-Bration My Digital Studio Cd. I had a lot of fun playing with this set and using all the different things available on this Cd!!

This card is almost all made using only my MDS but I did make into a hybrid card ... I have this thing where I just need dimension!! I created the top layer in MDS by using the set Sprinkled Expressions using the stars and smile saying, then some of the accessories from the Everyday Enchantment pack, (the brad and ribbon). I then printed it out and layered it with some basic black cardstock as well lucky limeade and daffodil delight. Of course it needed a bit of sparkle so I added iridescent ice to all the stars which made them a little darker. The finished card measures 5 x 5 1/2.

Another hybrid card!! For this card I used the set Fresh Vintage and created the image in several shapes and colors .... I love calypso coral with neutral tones!! I printed that out and layered it with basic black cardstock then attached it to a calypso coral base. I added some ruffled ribbon and stamped my saying which I punched and layered using my circle punches. Easy Peasy!! This finished card is the standard size.

This is the last hybrid card I created and I wanted to recreate the door showing off the Home Sweet Home decor element stamp. Of course a door is not complete without those packages that Mr. Brown drops off for us!! I used the set Workshop Words to make the one big box and just some soft suede to make the smaller boxes. This card measures 4 1/4 x 3.

My last project I made a 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page. This one was pretty easy just used several "sheets" of Everyday Enchantment DSP and added a few Everyday Enchantment accessories. Popped in a few pictures and bam it's done!!

If you want to see more ideas using this wonderful my digital studio CD just wait until you see the projects Deb has in store for you on her site Heartfelt Inkspiration!! Happy Stamping!!

Button Button

I still have a bunch of projects I created last year to show off so I will be sharing them in between some of my other new projects! This was a card I made for Sandy's workshop. It's really simple but it really stands out. I used the set Button Button which has lots of fun images that coordinate with our buttons. I used several layers for this card and of course I used my petals of plenty embossing folder to add some dimension. Embossing Folders are my favorite big shot tool! On the flower image I used the rock and roll technique. Happy Stamping!!

Simple Butterflies

This is another simple card. I made this one to send to my secret sister during the last round of DDSS. Since I was mailing it I tried to stay away from things that would make ti too bulky. I used the set Precious Butterflies which is currently one of the hostess sets you can get if you host a party! I think it's pretty, probably because it uses my favorite color as well as having several butterflies! Happy Stamping!
