Baby Steps Hybrid Scrapbook Page

 To go with the gift I shared the other day I started out by making an oversized card but in the end it become this cute 6x6 scrapbook page.  I made the elephants again by using the set Baby Steps in My Digital Studio so I could get them the right size and colors.  I then printed them out and added clear embossing powder over them to keep them from fading. I then cut them out and layered them on a piece of whisper white cardstock.  Then I went about creating the page by adding in different green colored cardstock, ribbon, and buttons.  Love how it came out and my friend ended up framing it for the baby's room.  Happy Stamping!!

Baby Wall Hanging

 I got this cute wall hanging idea from Heidi Baks and I knew I was going to recreate her project for a friend of mine!  She was due to have her little "peanut" as they called him in March and this was part of the gift I made her.  I created it using My Digital Studio software, Baby Step digital download and some fabric that matched their baby decor.  I printed  two elephants out then used them as patterns for my fabric then I added several accessories to help tie it in all together.  I did hand stitch everything so it's not exactly perfect but I love how it came out and so did my friend!!  Happy Stamping!!

My Digital Studio - Happy Camper

I made this card for a hybrid swap I did back at convention 2011. I used the My Digital Studio stamp set Happy Camper. Every party of this card except for the base, cord and the pumpkin pie sponging I did on the main image was done using elements of My Digital Studio. I also added a touch of iridescent ice to make the flame sparkle. I just love this card!! I seem to do much better with Hybrid cards than I do with digital scrapbooking! For this page I used photos from Convention and I used the My Digital Studio software! I am getting better at using it but I still love traditional scrapbooking more, I fell I use too much when I make digital pages were I would normally take the less is more approach. But I love that you can change your mind in an instant with out having to take anything apart! The digital kits I used for this are For All You Do, Enjoy Every Moment and Summer Home. 6x6 My Digital Studio Ice Cream Recipe Page

I love using My Digital Studio to make my recipe pages!! They are soo much fun and it's a great way to share your recipes! This one if for Blackberry Ice Cream. (I got the recipe from Pioneer Woman; she has some of the best and very yummy recipes!) I used the digital set Sweet Scoops as well as some of the other accessories this program has to offer! I decide to use My Digital Studio to create this project. I'm trying to become more familiar with using this software for actual scrapbooking. Normally I use it to make flyers and recipe pages this is my second MDS page ever so it's still a bit out of my comfort zone. We went camping out at Dead Horse Ranch the other day so I decided you use those pictures since it features "a few of my favorite things" ... my Family, camping and toasting up some s'mores!! It's not a perfect page but I love it! The camping images are a MDS set called Happy Camper; I soo wish this was a stamp set! Happy Stamping!

If you are hoping in order you just came from Mickey's site Paper Conversation where she showed off some super cool ideas using the set Language of Friendship ... I'm not a big bird fan but boy were those cute!!

Today I will be sharing some projects I made using the One Big Sale-A-Bration My Digital Studio Cd. I had a lot of fun playing with this set and using all the different things available on this Cd!!

This card is almost all made using only my MDS but I did make into a hybrid card ... I have this thing where I just need dimension!! I created the top layer in MDS by using the set Sprinkled Expressions using the stars and smile saying, then some of the accessories from the Everyday Enchantment pack, (the brad and ribbon). I then printed it out and layered it with some basic black cardstock as well lucky limeade and daffodil delight. Of course it needed a bit of sparkle so I added iridescent ice to all the stars which made them a little darker. The finished card measures 5 x 5 1/2.

Another hybrid card!! For this card I used the set Fresh Vintage and created the image in several shapes and colors .... I love calypso coral with neutral tones!! I printed that out and layered it with basic black cardstock then attached it to a calypso coral base. I added some ruffled ribbon and stamped my saying which I punched and layered using my circle punches. Easy Peasy!! This finished card is the standard size.

This is the last hybrid card I created and I wanted to recreate the door showing off the Home Sweet Home decor element stamp. Of course a door is not complete without those packages that Mr. Brown drops off for us!! I used the set Workshop Words to make the one big box and just some soft suede to make the smaller boxes. This card measures 4 1/4 x 3.

My last project I made a 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook page. This one was pretty easy just used several "sheets" of Everyday Enchantment DSP and added a few Everyday Enchantment accessories. Popped in a few pictures and bam it's done!!

Pumpkin Creme Pie

I haven't shared any recipe swaps in awhile and these are one of my favorite projects to do!! This is one of the few I made for a convention recipe swap I hosted at Stampin' Addicts Meet and Greet. One of the stipulations was we had to make it using My Digital Studio and let me tell you how fun it was to use this program to make the swaps!! Easy peasy! AND the quality you get back from the printer rocks!

This recipe is for Pumpkin Creme Pie and I got the recipe from Pioneer Woman. I love her recipes!! As well as the rest of her website!

My Digital Studio - Strength and Hope

The other day ok maybe it was a few weeks ago I shared a card using the Strength and Hope stamp set, and today I am going to share my first hybrid card I made using the digital download version of this set.
I have been a bit intimidated by the whole digital process and had only used my MDS for inside of cards or flyers o I finally bit the bullet to make this card and let me tell you I love it!! The card and the program ... there is a bit of a learning curve which I hope to have figured out soon especially the printing. The base of the card and tag was done with the MDS program. I did stamp the butterfly traditionally and I added the crumb cake and rose red strips with regular cardstock as well as the accessories.

Speed Racer

The other day my Son and I needed to work on his derby car for our packs races .... literally the night before. He had wanted something thin so he decided on doing a speed limit sign. So you are probably wondering how exactly this works with stamping right? He actually created his "sign" using our My Digital Studio program.

Basically he used the punches on a MDS project rounded the corners and then added the black mating. He then added text to create his wording and lastly he added the little turtle to the bottom. After he made his creation and printed it he cut it down to fit the wood and glued it on. We did add some shimmer paint to make the sign's look kind of pearly. He had a lot of fun making it and his car was pretty fast too! It was the fastest car in the pack, which was a first for him!! Happy Stamping!!

Throwback Thursday - Cub Scout Blue & Gold Invite

February was our Blue & Gold Banquet and the boys wanted to make some invites. So I took out my retired Cowboy Kid and stamped them in Staz On for the kids to color. The one below was one of the one's I colored to give the principal and a few other people.

To color him in I used my watercolor crayons, they are perfect for watercoloring. I used my aqua painter directly on my crayon to give a more vibrant color.

The bottom picture is the inside of the card which I created using My Digital Studio. It was so easy to use and print off!! It sure made that part easy!

Artisan Scrapbook Project #3

Here is what I submitted as my last scrapbook project. This one was my favorite!!






I created the titles with My Digital Studio. I used the Viola stamp set and paper pierced the guy. To make the book I used five of our large flat cellophane bags and sandwiched them between red card stock and tied them all together with hemp. I used several of the clip from the clip assortment to help hold the pages in. Overall the page is 8x8. Happy Stamping!!
