Creative Crew - January Holiday Focus

Make a card or a decor item using hearts in a new way to you—something you’ve never done with hearts. I made this card with the dual border technique in mind. Instead of using a punch I used the heart from the movers and shapers set. I just made a "clear platform" with chipboard that would only cut half the heart. I'll have to do a tutorial to show you what I mean. I also used my elegant lines embossing folder to give it more dimension. As well as sponged around all the edges and added iridescent ice to give it a little dazzle. Topped it off with some lace ribbon and punched hearts using the heart to heart punch. Happy Stamping!!

Display Boards - Best Friends Forever

I'm almost done with the projects from Best Friends Forever all I have left is the 2 3-d items.

I loved this little box. I used the milk carton die for it. I just cut the top part and then round the edges to give it the petal look. On the hearts I did the rock n roll technique then stamped twice to get the different shades. Then added some twine and pearls for accent and i was perfect! Happy Stamping!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! I don't have a Father's Day card to show you but rather a masculine I Love You, which works too!!

This one was also done with letterpress plates! I love how it came out kinda rustic, vintage look! Happy Stamping!!

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Here is a Valentine heart that my son and I made for his teacher's.

We used the petal cone die and the Fun Flowers one. I embossed the heat with the Perfect polka dots folder and then dirtied up the edges with early espresso ink. I did the same on the flower edges. Lastly we spritzed everything with Log Cabin smooch spritz which added a nice touch. I stuffed them with candy and put into a cellophane bag ... they cam out really cute!! Happy Stamping!!

Display Stamper project #5- Paisley Print Hearts Galore

Here is another one using the heart stamp from Paisley Prints.

This one was actually one of two that I really liked. It ended up sideways on the display boards but this is the actual direction it should have gone. I love how the bow came out, I heated it up a bit and it crinkled it just perfectly!! Happy Stamping!!

Display Stamper Project #3 - Hearts Galore

I wanted to make another card using the hearts but not your traditional pink and red colors. So I made it using Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip.

Very very simple but I think it was cute. The card is slightly larger than your regular but I forgot to measure it before I sent it off, maybe 6x5 1/2. It still seems to be missing something maybe a few hearts by the tag. Oh well it has already been displayed. Happy Stamping!!

Hearts a Plenty

I'm not normally a heart person, it's rather rare when I need to use them when you've got two boys, but I just had to have the I {Heart} Hearts set!!

I had lots of fun putting all the heart styles together and it made a super fun card!! I love the bright bold colors!! Happy Stamping!

Hearts Galore

I wanted to make a card for Valentine's day so show at my workshop but when I went to go create it I realized I did not have any current heart type stamp sets. I know the shame huh?!?1 Well let's just say that will be corrected as soon as my order gets here on Monday! So even without any current sets I was able to create this little card!

Isn't it pretty? I like the non traditional colors and that I can give it to my hubby since it isn't girly. So how did I make this without any heart type stamps you ask? I took the A to Z mini background stamp and stamped it with Bravo Burgundy and punched t out with the Full Heart punch. All the little ones are punch using the Heart to Heart punch. The lighter blue hearts were made by mixing my shimmer paint with night of navy and bordering blue re-inkers and sponging them on paper before I punched them. Problem solved!!
