Making It Simple

I have a wide range of cards I make from one layer to over the top and lately I've been stuck in the over the top mode but thought I would show one of the simpler cards I made. Just because it's simple doesn't make it any less pretty!! Here I used the set Zoo review and since I hadn't used the Giraffe image I used that one here. I stamped it by inking it with a mixing it with cajun craze and gold shimmer paint which gives it a really elegant look. I spritzed the base card stock with Log Cabin smooch spritz to give the base a bit of shimmer too. Then added some coordinating cardstock and dsp with a couple of brads and that's it!! It's got this great subtle shimmering effect that really looks great in person! Happy Stamping!!

Happy Valentine's Day

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! Here is a Valentine heart that my son and I made for his teacher's.

We used the petal cone die and the Fun Flowers one. I embossed the heat with the Perfect polka dots folder and then dirtied up the edges with early espresso ink. I did the same on the flower edges. Lastly we spritzed everything with Log Cabin smooch spritz which added a nice touch. I stuffed them with candy and put into a cellophane bag ... they cam out really cute!! Happy Stamping!!

Vintage Clock

I hope you all enjoyed the blog hop .... I know I did! This next card I am showing I made with the Sense of Time stamp set. It has a very vintage feel to it!

I used a bunch of layers and a lot of distressing. I even used some smooch spritz, which added the perfect touch. Happy Stamping!!

Christmas Collage

The other day I shared my Fall Collage card and said it was inspired by another card I had made; well this was the original card. I made it for my secret sis.

It's a non traditional Christmas card but I liked it!! She did it! The main image I stamped with staz on and then spritzed it with shimmer spray before I stamped it to give it more of a shiny tone to it. The stamp set I used is Serene Snowflakes and the words were from Christmas greetings. As the accent I chose black which really made everything else pop!! Happy Stamping!!

Inspired by Nature

I'm not sure if I ever admitted this but this set, Inspired by Nature, I originally got free at convention a couple of years ago and I hated it!! I was so going to give it away but for whatever reason I didn't and I'm glad I didn't because it is one of my favorites sets now.

So here is a card I made a few weeks back at my October workshop. I sponged on the different colors on the stamp before stamping it onto the paper. The base layer is embossed with the Square Lattice folder. BUTmy favorite part of the card is the ribbon. If you click on the picture to the right you will see that it is two toned. I made it that way with my markers. Neat huh?!? I also misted it with my log cabin smooch spritz at far distance to get a thin spray. Happy Stamping!!

Demo Night

There are several demos who have become the best of friends that live in the Flagstaff area and we try to get together every once in awhile and have demo night. I hosted the one we had in October and this is the project that we made.

I got the idea from Deb at Artfelt Impressions who I think cased it from someone else. We punched out the flowers using the Boho Blossoms punch and the leaves were made with ribbon. The grass in the background is the stamp from Inspired by Nature set. If you click on the picture you will see the Chocolate Chip piece was embossed using the Square Lattice folder. Lastly I spritzed it with the Log Cabin smooch spritz. Happy Stamping!!

Display Stamper Project #7 - Just Believe

This was one of the two 3-d items. you can't tell from the picture but this is a calendar.

I used versamark to create the tone on tone image in the background, wrapped some ribbon along the bottom edge. Then I created the tag and added the saying "Life" to go with the calendar theme. I also sprayed a bit of smooch spritz onto the tag because it seemed a bit too white. Happy Stamping!!

Display Stamper Project #2 - Just Believe

Here is the next card I created for Just Believe.

Sort of rustic in the colors and style. I colored the image with my markers to get all the colors. I also spritzed it with smooch spritz. I really did try to make things that weren't my typical style to show the versatility of the stamp set which you will see as I show all the projects I made. Happy Stamping!!

Vintage Style

If you didn't get a chance to make the last workshop this was the card we did as a make n take!

Isn't it pretty?? I love it!! We used Elements of Style and we water colored it in with our watercolor crayons! Every time I use them I forgotten how much I love how they blend!! I so have to use them more often!! After we colored them we spritzed it with the log cabin smooch spritz; which added to the vintage look. At first I wasn't a smooch spritz fan but not that I have it down that stuff is great! I just use an old cardboard box instead of the color catcher though and it works just fine!

Sweet Scoops Twist

If you didn't make it to my workshop this last weekend here is one of the cards I showcased! Can you believe I made it with Sweet Scoops?

I took the stamp that is supposed to add texture to the ice cream scoops and made it into a package! The background is sprayed with the log cabin smooch spritz ... I am really beginning to like this stuff!!

I'm going to try to have one more workshop before the new catalog hopefully so make sure to not miss out! Happy Stamping!!

Skater Birthday Card

As I said the other day my little one turned 10 on Saturday. Here is the card that I made him.

He loves to skateboard ... can't say that I'm too fond it of it but he does try to be careful!! I used Extreme Skateboard and Extreme Elements to make this card. His favorite color is red so I wanted a card with mostly red in it. I don't typical make cards in other sizes then the standard or 3x3 but this one is large and is about 6x6. The skateboard guy I stamped with versamark and embossed it with black embossing powder. The red round piece was cut out on the big shot with the clear circle die and is sprayed with smooch spritz. The black cardstock I crumbled up to make it worn and distressed. The Birthday saying came from an old set called Birthday Greetings. He thought the card was pretty cool! He made me a pretty cool Mom's Day card, paper flower's and a thoughtful letter that I am totally going to have to scrapbook! Happy Stamping!
