With Sprinkles
This card was the last project I shared on the blog hop using Sweet Scoops. It's the one with the yummy sprinkles!

This card was done with Apricot Appeal and Melon Mambo, it was a surprisingly good color combo! For the ice cream I stamped it in Melon Mambo then cover it with crystal effects and then added a few beads. To give it a little more texture I heat set the crystal effects which you can see in the picture to the left. It looks really cool in person! I also used my stylus along the lines on the ice cream cone to add textured to that as well. I used the scallop border punch along one edge and used the sprinkle stamp on the base and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then topped it off with ribbon. Happy Stamping!!

Birthday Cupcake
I wanted to share with you the card I made for my son's 9th birthday, which was earlier this month.

His favorite color is red and he wanted a cake/cupcake on his card. It's not very masculine
but it is fun and at 9 years old it's still all about fun!! He recently gave me quite the scare this past Thursday after a nasty fall at school. We spent our afternoon and evening at the ER making sure he was going to be ok. So after it all he is left with some ugly bruising on his face, and gums, his teeth are intact which is a good thing and a nicely busted lip. He still can't remember the actual incident but it's coming back to him. I told him he gave me quite the scare and he said back to me "I scared myself". Needless to say he will be taking it easy for the rest of the week, at least. So just want to say hold your children near and give them an extra hug and kiss today. Happy Stamping!!
