I used the set Butterfly Prints on this one along with the Very Vintage wheel. This another on of those simple but pretty cards. On the butterfly I did the rock and roll technique to get the dual color then used my versamarker and iridescent ice to make it sparkle ... because who doesn't love some sparkles? Happy Stamping!!

Stepping it Up
With swapping you can get all kinds of ideas ... it's the best part of swapping!! You can sure get a variety of swaps from simple to wow and actually I stamp the same way; sometimes it's simple and sometimes it's over the top!
Take this swap card I shared with you yesterday using the jumbo Baby Tee wheel:

and show how you can step it up with a few extra accessories:
Adding a few brads and some ribbon really makes it pop!! So no matter what kind of swap you get in return it's really all about the idea!! Happy Stamping!!

Swaps
At any SU get together there are always swap mania!! I love to swap and since it was convention I wanted to make a bunch of swaps so I was trying to figure out the best way to get my use out of one sheet of card stock. I was able to come up with 6 and you still get a pretty good sized card. I was surprised when a few gals wouldn't swap because it wasn't a full sized card; oh well I still thought the card was cute!! I used the Baby Tee's jumbo wheel and I did several varieties. Here they are:

The last two are my favorite!! Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Addicts Holiday Mini Blog Hop - Tags til Christmas
Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Holiday Mini Blog Hop!! When I got the new mini I just knew I had to everything in it and if you didn't already you will by the time this hop is over!! In this hop we are featuring 22 items from the Holiday Mini as well as many of the accessories! So come join the fun!!If you are following this hop in order then you have just come from Adriana's Escape 2 Stamp where she shared projects using the Vintage Frames Decor Stencils. How fun were those?? If you are continuing to follow the hop in order I will provide the next link at the bottom of the post or you can check in on our chat thread over at Stampin' Addicts!
On my blog I am featuring the stamp set Tags til Christmas!! This was one of those sets I just had to have and if you are like me I love to wrap packages all pretty for Christmas. This set is a great way to add something extra special to those packages with a handmade tag! So for my first project I made this super cute kid's shaker tag!!
Even though this set was created for the use of making tags you can also you it to make cards.
Now this last project was the first one I made for the hop and my absolute favorite project!!
It's a tag holder ... perfect to give to others to use on their gift packaging needs!! I love the vintage and elegant design of this project. Here is what it looks like all opened up.
So what do you think?? Would you like to learn how to make it? On my next Technique Tuesday I will show you the four simple steps in creating the holder. If you want a reminder when I post the tutorial you can sign up for email notification or become a follower which can both be located on my right side bar. The additional items I used in creating this project was the Jolly Jingles wheel, Decorative Label jumbo punch, and Cherry Cobbler seam binding. To added the glitter I rubbed crystal effects along the edges after I sponged them with chocolate chip ink.
Ready for the next stop?? I know I am!! I loved the projects Cindy has created so be sure to check out her site called Heart's Delight Cards which she will be showcasing the stamp set Jolly Bingo Bits! Happy Stamping!!

Messages for Mom
I originally got the Messages for Mom set because it had some great sayings! But I found I loved the little flower swoosh that was in it.

I started with the swoosh image and colored it in using my markers to get the different colors. I added a little iridescent ice in the larger flower to add some sparkle, then I spritzed it with my shimmer spray. Since I didn't have any chocolate colored brads I made some faux ones. I just used my marker to make small circles and embossed them with iridescent ice. I also used the Very Vintage wheel in Chocolate Chip along the edge of the card base. Happy Stamping!!

Butterfly Scrapbook Page
I have to tell confess I bought the Beautiful Wings embosslit as soon as we could and it sat on the counter for months all while everyone had to wait months just to get theirs ... I know quite a scandal. BUT I did finally use it and it makes me happy!! What an awesome embosslit it is too ... so in case you haven't gotten yours yet you can place an order on my demo website before you can't get it anymore!!
This is a 6x6 page and I used several purple tones in it; Elegant Eggplant, Pale Plum, and Perfect Plum .... I'm so going to miss my purples!!! I also used the Very Vintage wheel to add some texture along the side! Happy Stamping!!

A Bit More Vintage ...
Vogue that is. This set has quickly become my go to set. I like the simplicity of it and all the different looks you can get from it.

This was another card I showed at my most recent workshop. This card used the Very Vintage wheel as well. The wheel is the perfect accent for this stamp set and many others. I did the two tone effect using markers which added a nice touch and more color to the card. I added a corduroy brad in the center of one flower ... I have a tendency to hoard these. Of course I also spritzed it with shimmer paint.
Happy Stamping!

The last project ...
Here is the last project I made for my friend to friend swap. The challenge for this one was to make something using a new technique. I know I'm a bit late on the whole bandwagon but I finally decided to try the technique designed by Crystal French. I can't recall what she actually calls it but I'm sure someone will remind me :) So anyways here is what I made:
Isn't it lovely!!! I used the Noteworthy stamp set on this one too. Along with m
y friend jumbo wheel. I left the glass out of the frame so show off the butterfly.
Here is a close up of the butterfly. I used so saffron and pale blue re-inkers for the colors and when they overlapped they created that pretty green. The embossing powder I used is one of the one's SU carried so long ago called Confetti Celebrations that has pink, yellow and blue in it.
I almost kept this one too! Well I know my SS Michelle loved her package and I hope you all enjoyed seeing it too! Happy Stamping!

Stamper's Showcase
As a Stampin' Up! demo is is always exciting to see your work list on the SU demo website. So I was quite excited to see my card listed today!!

I originally made this card for a WOW card swap I did for convention in July. I tossed an extra one in the baskets while I was there. So imagine my surprise when it finally showed up today! If you want to see how I made the card you can click on Faux Flannel under labels for a past tutorial.

Howling Good Time
I have about another weeks worth of Halloween Goodies to share and then we will be on new topic.
I made this card for a Halloween Invitation a few years back for my son when he had a Costume Party for this birthday. I did the focal image using the bleach technique. In person the bleaching is more noticeable. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year but is also that time of year when my oldest baby keeps getting older. This year he will be 13 and I keep wondering where the time has gone. And each year I keep wishing he would get an older. He is a great kid and loath the day he will be old enough to move out. Even though I tell him he needs to move out the day he is 18 which he just rolls his eyes and says that messed. LOL
I like to decorate treats up. Makes them more fun to get!! This is a gum wrapper I made complete with a cute mini tag. Happy Stamping,

My "Free" set and pic
I had a few questions regarding what stamp set I got for "free". If you aren't sure what I'm talking about when I say "free" check the post from yesterday. I had wanted to get this set but it was a bit to steep in price for me so I never did get it. Then it went on the retiring list during the last catalog so it's no longer available but that's ok with me since I did originally want the set. When you think about it I really do not know how the set would have ended up in my order it was discontinued for at least a month before my order was placed. Anyone who would have order it had to have the order placed by July 31st so there was no real reason for it even to have been mispicked. Secondly the set I was supposed to get was not even close to it. I was supposed to have gotten Morning Soft which is set of 2 not a set of 12. This set sold for $36.95 not $18.95, talk about a deal!! I'm gonna have fun making cards with it, sympathy, get well , birthday, it's rather versatile. As soon as I make some cards using my Wild Rose stamp set I'll definetly post them!! So keep an eye out ... it may be a bit since I'm doing fifty million a few swaps right now.
I figured I would at least share a project even though it's not with my new Wild Rose set. The album isn't SU! but everything else is. I used the so swirly jumbo wheel and the celebrate sentiment, I hand wrote Family and added some silver cording. I really liked how it came out!! Happy Stamping,
