I actually manage a bit of time in my craft room but my card came out ok. Here is my card for the Sassy Stamper's challenge:
The challenge was to create a card using acetate as the base. I love acetate cards ... they are always so cute. I made this using scraps I had on my desk and the new stamp set I got called Ocean Commotion. Happy Stamping!

Baby Shower in the Mail
A good friend of mine was having a baby. Most of us don't live around the area so we came up with this idea to throw her a baby shower via her mail box. Everyone sent her a double page 6x6 album spread. We figured that way she could have a whole scrapbook ready to go for when she had her baby. It was a lot of fun and she enjoyed getting all the different pages!!
I really like the design I did for my other friend so I made up a 2 page spread from that. I did the hand print and footprints using vanilla craft ink. Happy Stamping!

It's Not Always Pretty
I hear a lot of times at workshops that my card is always pretty. Or yours card always look better than mine. How come mine didn't come out like yours and so on. Well just wanted to tell you you sometimes those cards you see are several versions later than what I originally started to design. AND it's definitely not always pretty. Case in point:
I had wanted to showcase the big shot with this project so I made this. But it just wasn't working for me so I redid and then redid it again. I am happy to say I was much more happy with this project and so were those of you who made it to my open house!
It's much more appealing isn't it!! The good thing about paper crafting is that you can always change it. So don't get stuck into having to always create things exactly as you see them ... take idea's and make them yours, but be sure to credit those whose ideas you take! Happy Stamping!

Technique Tuesday - Scrapbook Page Purse
I finally had a chance to put a tutorial together. Several of you asked for one showing how to make the pouch I had showed last week. So here it is!
First start off with a 6x6 scrapbook page. You are going to cut off the edge that has the holes.
For the main piece you will need to cut down a piece of cardstock to be 6 1/2 x 9 1/2. You will score at 6 1/2 to create the flap.
Slide in a piece of 6x6 decorative card stock into the scrapbook page. Add velco to the flap so that you have something to open and close the flap. I found it I had the velco pieces attached together then place on the flap then close the flap then the piece will be aligned perfectly.
Cut a piece of card stock to fit on the top flap I cut my piece to 6 x 2 1/2. Tape down to the top flap.
Cut a half circle out using your circle punch. Sometimes it doesn't cut through all the way so just finish the cut with your scissors.
Using your hole punch to punch out a circle on both sides at the crease line of your flap. This will be where you run the ribbon through.
Run ribbon through the whole and make a knot. Do this on both sides to create your handle.
Add rub on's or other touches to the outside corner of scrapbook page. Decorate the top flap. I will share with you all tomorrow the final project. Happy Stamping!

Shades of Blue
Today was my bi-annual Open House and it sure was a lot of fun!! I hope you all thought so too! It was nice to actually do some stamping for a change. I'll share with you some of the cards and stuff that was made in case you missed the chance to stop by. But for today I wanted to share a card I made for a birthday card.
My friend loves blue and sunflowers so this was the card I made. Looking at it now it would work great for a sympathy or thinking of you card as well. I colored the sunflowers in with the water color crayons. These crayons are the only way to water color in my opinion. They actually work well for me ... I am a bit watercolor challenged. On Tuesday I will finally have a tutorial for you all again so stay tuned .... Happy Stamping!

Clipboard Fun
This is a project I made last year but haven't shared with you all. It's definitely one of my favorite things to alter ... clipboards!
I made this with the intention to use it to hold up recipe cards when cooking. So of course I had to use Viola! I painted the clipboard a maroon/red shade then added from there. It came out better than I had thought it would! The holes at the bottom were made using the crop-o-dile. Happy Stamping!!

Sparkling Butterfly
I need to make a birthday card for a friend. I originally started to use a different stamp set but was having some mojo problems. I finally pulled out this older set and came up with this card:
The card was smaller than I normally make, if I remember correctly it was 3x4. I was using some scraps of paper I had lying around so that kinda dictated the size of the card. I added a bit of glitter to make sparkle a bit. I like how bright and cheery it is. Happy Stamping!
