Thinking of You

I found this card I hadn't shown yet using the Button Button Set.

I don't normal use the brights collection very often but I love how this one came out!! I think my favorite part is the pink ribbon ruffled underneath the peach parfait piece. Happy Stamping!!

Thinking of You

This was a card I sent to my secret sister last round. When I was editing the photo I was having a hard time getting the colors just right and this color combo blended together better in person!!

Pretty simple card using the Dreams du Jour set and some DSP from the level 1 Hostess pack. Happy Stamping!!

Vintage Vogue Wow Swap

Oops not sure what happened with the disappearing post but here it is again.

Last month I participated in a Wow swap. This was the card that I made.

I didn't have enough paper to go with the Paisley Petals DSP so I had to do them in two different colors schemes. I was surprised in how different they seem by just changing the color. After I sent them off I changed the Peach Parfait one by adding the embossing with the tulip folder, I wish I had done that with all of them but either way they were still cute!

I think I am the only person who cringes at the site of this DSP ... I find them such weird colors and the designs to be really strange. I got caught up with ordering it since it was a special but yikes!! A little bit of playing around with it I was able to make it work. Maybe it will coordinate with the new in colors we get in July and I will find it easier to use .. let's hope! This is one of the many things I love about Stampin' Up is the variety of items they sell and there is always something for someone no matter what your tastes are. Happy Stamping!

Medallion One Layer Card

I think I have said before that one layer cards are hard for. They just always seem like they need more but here is one I made that is just right!

I used the medallion stamp which really helps to fill up space. I wanted it to be colorful so I sponged the different colors on to get all 3. Before I stamped onto the cardstock I did spray the stamp with some shimmer paint, it gave it a real nice effect! Then I added my sentiment and it was done!! Happy Stamping!

Father's Day Favor Box

So here is the last project I made for the blog hop, my little treat box trio.

You can click on any of the pictures to make them bigger. To make this set I used the bitty box die ... I call it the pizza box and cut out three of them using the Nautical Expedition DSP. I did decorate each top of the box with the same color scheme. I kept them pretty flat so they could stack with out damaging each other. Then I stacked them on top of each other and held them together with the belly band. To make the belly band I crimped a couple of pieces of cardstock slightly smaller than the box width and taped them together so it was long enough to slide around all three boxes. I plan on filling this with some candy to give to my Dad for Father's Day ... I actually have one project finished waaay before I need it!! Which is a good thing as I have been sick in bed for a week ... that migraine turned into one nasty head/chest cold. Hopefully I will feel up to creating again soon ... Happy Stamping!!

12x12 Open Sea Page

Here is my details on the scrapbook page I made for the blog hop.

I am a pretty messy when I am creating .... I'm sure that's not a surprise to many of you. The tags were one of the last things I put together so I made them using scraps from my other projects. I used my square punch to make the ends of the tag so that they were all the same size and at the right angle, works perfectly! After I made the tags I slide them into baseball card sleeve that I cut down to the three pouches. Happy Stamping!!

Happy Birthday!

It was my Youngest Son's 11th Birthday on Sunday and because of work and a few other scheduling things he actually had his birthday party the previous weekend. I can assure you he didn't mind at all ... and still wanted to do something else for his birthday! So anyways here is the card I made him:

This is the front of the card.

This is the inside of the card. I went a little overboard but hey that's what Mom's do right?!

He loves baseball and soccer and is currently playing them both .... keeping us all busy going from one to the other!! So his card reflects that!! I also made it in red because that's his favorite color!! Happy Stamping!

Happy Mother's Day

I am horrible about making cards in advance of any occasion and I made myself sit down and make this card for my Mom before today. I actually made it on Thursday with a raging headache and all. I am the biggest procrastinator!! Anyways I really like how this card came out. I knew I had to use the new Wild Wasabi embossing powder from the summer mini so that's how I came up with my color scheme. I used the set Message for Mom, added some DSP, some ribbon and a little bit of bling!! I hope all of you Mom's have a wonderful day ... I'll be sharing today with my youngest son who is turning 11 today! Happy Stamping!!

Flower Bracelet

This was a little gift I made for a secret sister group I am in.

It's a bracelet made with the fun flowers die and some fabric I had. I keep the chain long enough so that it could be used instead as an anklet. I liked it so much that I am going to make one for myself!! Happy Stamping!

Open Sea Masculine Card

As promised I will post a little more detail on my blog hop projects.

I played with this card quite a bit trying to get the color combo and orientation right and it almost went out the window. I used one edge of framed tulips embossing folder on the bottom edge of this card, I thought it represented a watery edge. On the base of the card I stamped the captain's log stamp and if you look closely I stamped it upside down .. oops. You probably would have never noticed though. The red strip is the Nautical Expedition DSP which I wrapped some of that yummy bakers twine around the one edge ... I am going to love that stuff!! Will definitely have to get more! The boat image I originally did in white craft ink only but when I added the brads to fill in some space it make it look washed out and more like a ghost ship with my sponged edges ... which looked cool but didn't have enough punch for this card. It'll get reincarnated with some skulls stamps later . So I redid it using my white embossing powder that somehow has a litle glitter in it now. I really love how this card came out and even looks better in person!! Happy Stamping!
