12x12 Paper Purse

I shared a mini version of this paper purse earlier this month. This was one that I made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock for a workshop I did back in October ... just a few months ago! (Told you I was getting caught up!!) I sooo wanted to keep this one even though I am not a big orange fan. I'm just gonna have to make one for myself which wil help me get that tutorial done I promised. The flowers I used to accent this purse were made from the blossom flowers die and then I added texture to the flowers by embossing them with the Vintage Wallpaper EF. Happy Stamping!!

Happy Birthday!!

My Hubby's 37th Birthday is today ... Happy Birthday!! I figured I would share this little project since it's fitting for a birthday celebration! The cake is made by covering a battery operated tea-light with cardstock and punched pieces, it's fairly easy to decorated them up. We also created a little box for the cake to go. Unfortunately I don't recall the details because we made them a while back ... I'll see if I can find it though and add the dimensions to this post later. Happy Stamping!!

Vaulted Card

This card has been vaulted for sooo long that I can't even remember what set I used nor could I find it ... oops. Hopefully one of my demo friends can help me out!! I love the color combo on this card it just adds a rich texture too it. I used Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Real Rose and Crumb Cake. The lace ribbon adds just the right touch too!! Happy Stamping!!

Simply Soft

Here another vaulted card ... told you I had several left to share. This one was created for my secret sister; the last round. I used the hostess exclusive set Simply Soft and that dreaded paisley paper I keep telling you about ... you would think I've almost used it up but no I still have half a pack of it. At least I've been able to make some cute things with it ... ha! I designed this card based on the colors from the dsp piece I used. I love all the texture I used to make this card but especially the double ribbon layer. Happy Stamping!!

My Digital Studio - Happy Camper

I made this card for a hybrid swap I did back at convention 2011. I used the My Digital Studio stamp set Happy Camper. Every party of this card except for the base, cord and the pumpkin pie sponging I did on the main image was done using elements of My Digital Studio. I also added a touch of iridescent ice to make the flame sparkle. I just love this card!! I seem to do much better with Hybrid cards than I do with digital scrapbooking! If you would like to try My Digital Studio for FREE for a month you can download if from my Stampin' Up! Website here. Happy Stamping

Double Take

I made two version of this card one for Shelli that I sent to the home office for her birthday and the other for another secret sis card. If you look closely you can see the one on the right I sponged a lot more to give it more of a vintage type look to it the one on the left I left a bit more crisp. i like them both!! I used the set You are Loved that I am hoping makes it into the big catty in June! The color combo I used was Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery and Early Espresso! I also used the frame EF to help highlight the flowers. Happy Stamping!

Pink and Purple Celebration

This is another one of those cards I just haven't had time to post ... I seem to be on the endless train of "I'm gonna catch up one of these days" I made this card for my Secret Sister several rounds back and it looks much prettier in real life!! Pretty simple card that uses layers to tie in the pinks and purples all together. Happy Stamping!!

Cupcake Birthday!

This is another one of those projects I've had to share for a while that I'm just now getting to. (We are getting closer to the end of that pile!) This was a birthday card I designed using the set Easy Events. And you know me ... I like layers and texture and this card is full of it!! Haha!! The base was done using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder that was inked before I ran it through the big shot to give the dots some color. I then layered it with different cardstock pieces and the Real Red circle was made using the perfect pennants die. I layered the frosting to give the cupcake some depth and added a bit of ribbon and a bow and it's done!! Happy Stamping!!

Spicing It Up

This was one of those plain mini paintings and I thought it was cute the way it was but thought it could use a little spicing up!! (Always best to spice it up dontcha think?!?) I took the colors that were in the painting to decided how I would embellish it. So I added the multi layer rosette in Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie with some black wide ribbon and a button. Then added a few rhinestones done the bottom left edge and that was it .. but it sure added a nice texture to the painting!! Happy Stamping!

Demo Get Together Project

It's been a bit since I made this project and I believe this made during our local demo get together. If I recall correctly it was designed by Judi. It's one of those 6x6 purses. I've since made some larger one's I'll share soon. I hope to get a tutorial together to show just how to make them but things are still very busy and a bit crazy! Happy Stamping!

Creative Crew - March Holiday Focus

My fourth project I am sharing is the Holiday Focus one and is my Favorite project I've made for all the challenges so far!!

Here's the info if you would like to join us - CCREW0312HF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Holiday focus: Let's celebrate national crafting month! Pull that idea you've been "wanting to do" out and create it. You can use any theme, maybe you have an Easter project, maybe you have a decor or centerpiece idea, maybe you've been wanting to do something with fabric? Any theme is okay, but show us your artistic, creative, involved crafty side. Use the first attached photo to inspire your creativity.

Isn't it pretty!?!?! I've had these jars for well a while (we won't say just how long) and have been looking for a way to alter them so I came up with this cute decorative jar. It went straight to my spring time vignette and I think I'll make a few paper flowers to sit in as well. I did a couple of different flowers; the yellow one is used the eyelet border punch and wrapping it into circles then spritzing with shimmer paint. The green one I did with scallop punches and the blue one I did with ribbon. All different looks but they work perfectly together!! I also used a bit of ribbon and if you look closely you will see some white waffle paper. Love it and hope you do too!! Happy Stamping!!

Creative Crew - March Catalog Focus

This next challenge is the Catalog focus where showcase something specific from the current catalog or mini.

Here-s the details if you would like to join us on this challenge - CCREW0312CF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Catalog focus: We've used a lot of DSP but we haven't focused on page 216 of the catalog! So this month show us how you use the cork, magnet, On Board, wood or window sheets.

I decided to go with the magnetic sheets. I love this projects sooo much and it maybe my swap for a certain giftable exchange I do every year. I attached my dsp to the magnetic sheet which is already sticky on one side than ran it through my big shot with the clear scallop die. And it's done .... EASY!! Then I cut out additional magnets to use on the board with the Beautiful Butterfly, Blossom Party and Island Floral dies and added a few accessories! I swear I did this project in less than 5 minutes!! It's a perfect gift for anyone! Happy Stamping!!

Creative Crew - March Scrapbook Focus

This next project is for the Scrapbook Focus. The sketch for the page is to the right.

Here's the info on the challenge if you would like to join us - CCREW0312SF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- Scrapbook focus: Use the attached layout and show us a Bright, cheerful, happy page to celebrate spring's arrival. It doesn't have to be about spring, just colorful, cheery, and it just makes you smile.

For this page I used photos from Convention and I used the My Digital Studio software! I am getting better at using it but I still love traditional scrapbooking more, I fell I use too much when I make digital pages were I would normally take the less is more approach. But I love that you can change your mind in an instant with out having to take anything apart! The digital kits I used for this are For All You Do, Enjoy Every Moment and Summer Home. If you would like to try My Digital Studio for FREE for a month you can download if from my Stampin' Up! Website here. Happy Stamping!!

Creative Crew - March Color Focus

Ready for this months Creative Crew Challenges?!?! Well here is the first one

If you want to play along here's the criteria - CCREW0312DF, CreativeCrew, SUO or SUM -- DSP/Color Focus: March Flower of the month: Daffodil & Jonquils - In honor of the March flower of the month, use this color combo: Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, with any neutrals of your choice.

I went with the colors Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride. Pink and yellow how can you go wrong?! I decided to use the set Precious Butterflies which is a hostess exclusive set. I stamped the main image first and to get the different colors I used my markers. Then I stamped my butterflies and to get both colors on my butterflies I used the rock and roll technique. I attached them to my card using dimensionals. Put it all on some in color DSP from the last catalog hostess rewards and a bit of the taffeta ribbon. I used Soft Suede as the base which doesn't stand out as much as it does in this picture. Happy Stamping!!
