Convention Goodies

Every year for convention I make a gift for my roommate.   I've been lucky to have the same roommate for the last 4 years and she is the best roomie!  This year we coincidently gave each other similar gifts.  We used the small wood boxes for our creations.  That's how much we think alike!

My gift is the one on the top of the above picture.   I used the stamp set caked Oh My Goodies and the DSP is called Lullaby.  Even though we choose the same type gift the inside was completely different!  Mine is the one on the left and was full of goodies!  On the right she filled it with post it notes and a pen, which was perfect for note taking!

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop - Remembering Christmas

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Winter blog hop!! There are sooo many wonderful Holiday ideas on this hop, I cannot wait to try some of them!!  If you are following the hop in order than you just came from Stitchin n Stampin on Paper where Kim made some wonderful projects using Joyful Christmas!  If not that's okay as there are links at the bottom to keep you going.

Today all my projects use Remembering Christmas as the focal point stamp set.  I just love this set!!  It can be very versatile!  This first project is rather straight forward the only technique was I stamped the main image for a different project and was left with ink on my stamp with a pattern etched in the ink so I stamped the image to get the effect below on the stamped image.   Just got to say that Washi Tape is awesome ... perfect embellishment!!

This next project I LOVE!!  I did not use it for the expected Holiday card but instead for a masculine Thank You card.  It actually match the idea in my head perfectly!!  I think I may even try another one in pink or as a hunting card with red.  Ya I know a little morbid but out here in Arizona hunting is like second nature.  The Thanks comes from Harvest of Thanks and the splotches are from Gorgeous Grunge.

This next card has a whole lot of sparkle to it and who doesn't like some sparkle!!  The only thing is in person you can see all the glitter on the Buck.

Lastly is this super cute canvas art project!!  This would be a great gift item!!  I stamped the Buck onto a piece of canvas and then added a splash of paper and accessories to amp it up a bit before layering it onto a canvas frame.  The saying comes from the stamp set Really Good Greetings.

Thanks for joining our hop!  I hope you enjoyed the projects I shared with you today!  The next stop on the hop is Rubber Stamping and Card Making with Yapha who is showcasing the beautiful Winter Frost Specialty DSP.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin' Addicts - New Catty Blog Hop - Perfect Blend

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts New Catalog blog hop!  We are showcasing all new stamp sets from the 2013-2014 catalog.  My blog is the second stop on the hop but if you started here it's okay as we are all linked together!!  If you started in order than you just came from Stampin' with Paula who made some wonderful projects using Timeless Talk.

There are so many fun new stamps that I had a hard time picking which stamp set to work with but I finally decide to go with Perfect Blend.  The coffee cup is just waaay to cute even though I don't drink coffee!

My first project, well actually it was the last one I made, is a cute little gift that you could give to just about anyone!!I just used a square 4x4 piece of cardstock and formed it into a cone to create the pouch.  I then decorated it with some of the new chevron ribbon (LOVE!) and a cut out coffee cup that I watercolored to match my color scheme which I took from the colors in the coffee packets.  To get the striped band I used the set Six-Sided Sampler.

My next project is a sweet and simple card and it's slightly smaller than your average card measuring 4 1/2x 4 1/2.  I stamped the main coffee cup image, I watercolored the lid and cut the band out from a scrap of Natural Composition DSP.  Too get the Strawberry Slush polka dots I again used the Six Sided Sampler stamp set.

This next card is slightly more stepped up card, still simple but has more bling to it!  Here I stamped the coffee cup and watercolored the lid and band with pool party.  I created the strips with you guessed it the Six Sided Sampler set with masking to keep all the strips on the cup.  I added some more of the fun chevron ribbon and candy dots (fun embellishment!).

My last card is a bit over the top and sort of has a vintage feel!  On the base I made coffee stains using my lid of plastic embellishment cases.  I stamped two coffee cups and colored them again with watercoloring and yes the Six Sided Sampler for the bands.  I used a bunch of different embellishments; paper clay, candy dots, ruffled ribbon and natural trim.  If you look closely at the bow you will see that it is slightly scorched.  I did this by running my heat gun over it to give it the worn look.

I hope you enjoyed my projects as much as I did making them!!  The next stop on the hop is Lily's Ink Pad where she is sharing some awesome projects using Tag It!  Happy Stamping!!

6x6 Page Protector

Here was another one of my projects for my secret sister I made using a 6x6 page protector. To make the flowers I cut out cardstock with the Blossom Party originals die, layered and crumpled them. I also added a few brads and buttons. You can find the tutorial on how to make the pouch here. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin' Addicts retiring Blog Hop - Under the Stars

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts' Retiring Blog Hop where we are featuring different sets from the newly released retiring list.  If you are hopping in order you just came from Katherine's site My Magical Inkery Tour where she featured Pony Party!  Don't you just love that set and her super cute projects?!!?  Or if you are starting here just follow the links at the bottom of this post and you can complete the hop as we all circle back!

I am showcasing the set Under the Stars and I have always loved this and use it all the time!!  This first card is really simple and perfect for a sleepover for the guys.  I used the bear and sleeping bags as my focus and water colored them with my water color crayons and aqua painter.  The garden green base I used the square lattice embossing folder to give it some texture.

This next card my seem a bit strange but it has a bit of a story to it.  Some of you know I'm a huge zombie fan it almost equals my skull obsession. My favorite Zombie movies are the Resident Evil movies and as a homage to where it all started I just had to use that little raccoon as a symbol for Raccoon City!!  So this card will be an anniversary card for my Hubby which is why it has a classy feel to it.

My last project is a gift idea since S'Mores are such a popular camping treat!  But I know we love to eat them even when we are not camping so this is one of those micro makers to use at home.  I took some card stock to create a wrapper around the box as well as some ribbon.  And if course what gift isn't complete with out a cute little tag and what better to use then the s'more stamp!?!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects but now it's time to hop on over to Rubber Stamping & Card Making with Yapha where she made some amazing projects using Season of Friendship!!  Happy Stamping!!

Baby Wall Hanging

I got this cute wall hanging idea from Heidi Baks and I knew I was going to recreate her project for a friend of mine!  She was due to have her little "peanut" as they called him in March and this was part of the gift I made her.  I created it using My Digital Studio software, Baby Step digital download and some fabric that matched their baby decor.  I printed  two elephants out then used them as patterns for my fabric then I added several accessories to help tie it in all together.  I did hand stitch everything so it's not exactly perfect but I love how it came out and so did my friend!!  Happy Stamping!!

Another Purse

I know I said I would do a tutorial for this cute little purse and it's still on my to do list. I haven't had much stamping time in the last few months and this was one I created a bit ago. And yes I used that dreaded paisley print DSP as much as I have used this paper I still have a half pack left. BUT this purse came out super cute!! Happy Stamping!!

12x12 Paper Purse

I shared a mini version of this paper purse earlier this month. This was one that I made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock for a workshop I did back in October ... just a few months ago! (Told you I was getting caught up!!) I sooo wanted to keep this one even though I am not a big orange fan. I'm just gonna have to make one for myself which wil help me get that tutorial done I promised. The flowers I used to accent this purse were made from the blossom flowers die and then I added texture to the flowers by embossing them with the Vintage Wallpaper EF. Happy Stamping!!

Happy Birthday!!

My Hubby's 37th Birthday is today ... Happy Birthday!! I figured I would share this little project since it's fitting for a birthday celebration! The cake is made by covering a battery operated tea-light with cardstock and punched pieces, it's fairly easy to decorated them up. We also created a little box for the cake to go. Unfortunately I don't recall the details because we made them a while back ... I'll see if I can find it though and add the dimensions to this post later. Happy Stamping!!

Demo Get Together Project

It's been a bit since I made this project and I believe this made during our local demo get together. If I recall correctly it was designed by Judi. It's one of those 6x6 purses. I've since made some larger one's I'll share soon. I hope to get a tutorial together to show just how to make them but things are still very busy and a bit crazy! Happy Stamping!
