Blast Off!

This was one of my favorite projects beside the pirate card I made for the blog hop and from the comments it was also many of yours.

So here is the details. I made this little rocket ship using an old film canister from 35mm film. I found it in my craft stash. This little cutie measures 4 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. I took a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and wrapped it around the main piece of the canister after I crimped it. The tip of the rocket ship is from a circle which I cut in half then wrapped into a cone, I carefully glued it to the top. I then wrapped a thin strip is gray cardstock around the edge of the film canister top and between the cone and top of the rocket ship. To make the wings I took one of the hexagons from the pop up 3d Ball die cut it in half, then fold and attached to either side of the rocket ship. I then punched out a circle in gray cardstock and a small one out of Whisper White to make the window. Lastly I used my white gel pen to add the dot details around the edges and window. So what do you think? Pretty nifty!!

Happy Stamping!!
