Giftables Class - Candle

Every year I host a giftables class and it's always lot of fun gift ideas and projects. This is the set of gifts we made this year.

Cute huh? And we had a ton of fun making them!! I know I loved them all! This first project from this group I want to share is the candle. Keep in mind this is meant to be a decorative candle, if you actually want to light it you will need to remove the accents and put it on a safe candle holder. Just click any of the pictures to make them larger.

I used all kinds of acceosries to make this. For the mat we used Deck the Halls Fabric and Deck the Hall Big Buttons. We sandwich the two scallop pieces with some felt. Since they are no sew (just 4 big X's in each corner) it was super quick to put together!

On the candle I used the gold glass glitter, gold waffle paper, hemp twine and linen thread. To make the wreath I used the medallion stamp an idea I got from Jakie Topa, instead of the other part of the medallion I used more of the center. Then I waved my sentiment between the wreath and it's all done!! Just a quick tip though when heating the candle bottom to attach the glass glitter do it in small sections at a time or the glitter will not stick. Happy Stamping!!
