Hispanic Night

Just finished up at Hispanic Night and I had a ton of fun I even got to sit by Jan (inkerzaway from splitcoast who I adore)!!  This little box was the make and take we got to make .... isn't it cute?!?!  I love it!!  This is my favorite set (yes I know I say that all the time) from the Hispanic Catalog.

Convention has been sooo much fun and I am so tired so sorry I haven't been blogging.  But I will continue to post all the fun things over the next few weeks.  If you would like to join me next year email me and we can set up some time to talk!!  Happy Stamping!!

Confia en Mi (Lean on Me)

This was a set I got for free at convention for attending Hispanic night. It's called Confia en mi, you can also get it in English (Lean on Me.) I really like this set and is perfect for a variety of occasions. I made this card for my secret sister last round, it has a lot of texture and lotsa of color. I also wanted to say Thanks to all my Friends for letting me lean on you these last few months, I appreciate it! Happy Stamping!

Caseing Myself

Very rarely do I case and when I do it never ever looks like the original. I always end up changing it completely but this time I cased myself and I kept it almost the same. You can see my original design here. I used the stamp set Flores Suaves (from the spanish catalog) instead. I needed a card to enter for Hispanic Night for convention so this was the one I submitted. As you can tell I have quite of few things still left to share from the past 4 months or so. Happy Stamping!!

Hispanic Night

Today has been another fun filled day ... it"s been go go go but still a lot of fun. Tonight I had the chance to attend an additional class ... Hispanic Night! It was a great evening !! We had a couple of make and takes but this was the only one that I got done.

Isn't it cute pin! I'm afraid to wear it though .. I don't want to ruin it. I'll finish up the other one when I get home.

This was the set we got for attending the class, it was a set I liked but wasn't planning on buying so I am glad we got it! I tried to upload some of the display boards but that will have to wait until I get home as I'm not familiar with my photo editing software on my laptop. So I will continue o post convention fun stuff with other posts over the next few weeks. Happy Stamping!

Classic Butterfly

I really need to spend some time in my craft room and make a few cards, as I was getting this post ready everything I have left to show is butterflies. This card uses the stamp set Flores Suaves from the Spanish catalog. After I colored in the butterfly I added a thin layer of crystal effects and then sprinkle a bit of glitter on top before it dried to give it a little bit of sparkle. Happy Stamping!

Almost Artisan Project #1

As I was saying several posts back I entered the Artisan Contest that Stampin' Up! held and I wish I could say I was a winner. In some rights I am though because I really went out there and tried ... this was my first time entering and I learned lots!

As I was getting the photo cropped and ready I noticed that I forgot to take a couple of pictures so I only have 8 projects to share ... what's even worse I can't remember what the 5th card I sent even was! Anyways here is the first card I made:

It uses the Flores Suaves stamp set in the Spanish Supplement; one of my favorites because of that cute little butterfly! I don't usually use so many layers but it worked out perfectly for this card. The background layer I did the reinker spread technique in reverse and LOVE how it came out. I water colored the butterfly after I embossed the image and then spritzed it with shimmer paint. So what all do you think?? Happy Stamping!

ETA: I also wanted to share the sites to the other gals who are posting or have already posted their submissions!! A ton of creativity out there and some super ideas!! So when you get a chance check them out :)

Simple Butterfly

Hi everyone! Stampin Up! made all the calls to all the Artisan winners and I didn't get one ... bummer! My goal wasn't to win (though that would have been nice) but to push myself and try different things. So I am happy that I did that AND now I can finally show the projects I submitted. I will be sharing those with you all sometime this month; except one that I forgot to take a picture of .. oops!

Here is a card I had made for my secret sister last round.

I loved this card and almost kept it!! I just love that butterfly! This butterfly is from the Flores Suaves stamp set from the Spanish supplement. If you don't have it you really should get it!! I embossed the image then watercolored it. It took maybe 5 minutes to make; my kind of card! Happy Stamping!

Flores Suaves

If you haven't ever looked at the Spanish Catalog you really should there are some great stamp sets in there that you can't find in the big catty! One of my favorites is Flores Suaves; mostly because of that cute little butterfly! On this card I showcased the flower instead.

I love this card and was sad to mail it off to my secret sis from last round and she loved it too! I used my aqua painter to add color to the flowers and to add shimmer paint over the top of it. The DSP is Cottage Wall and the colors are Certainly Celery, Rich Razzleberry, and Pale Plum. Happy Stamping!!

From the Spanish Catalog

Celebrando Creatividad is the Spanish catalog and it has some the best stamp sets in it. Like this Cinco De Mayo set. I have wanted for YEARS a set just like this one and I was jumping for joy when they came out with it!!

Now I've had this card done for some time, it was actually the card I made for the Non Convention Goer's swas over at Stampin' Addicts. I know I know I am a bit behind in showing my creations but you still are gettin' to see them right?! So anyways here's the card:

I wanted the card to be bold and bright so everything was done using the new in colors and I like how it came out!! To do the under part of the skirt I used iridescent ice, gotta have some glitter right!! So if you haven't checked out the Spanish catalog you can find it in my side bar. Happy Stamping!
