Blue Bursts

Here is the last card in the set of four Snow Burst card's.

I love this one!! Blue and gray work together very nicely here! I also added a bit of glitter that really adds to the card which unfortunately the picture doesn't show. Happy Stamping!

Snow Burst Card

Here is another Christmas card. This is the 3rd card I made during my Snow Burst Card class.

The red one from yesterday was the 2nd and the first was this one. I like it I just feel it is missing something ... all the ladies that took my class loved it. I think I don't like it because it wasn't quite what I had envisioned but it worked well. Happy Stamping!

Pink or Red?

As promised here are the cards I made using the polished stone technique from yesterday. I made some in red first then decided I would do them in pink.

I like them both but I think the pink one is more pleasing. What do you think? Happy Stamping!!

Technique Tuesday - Polished Stone

It's time for another Technique Tuesday. But first I wanted to share with you a bit of Stampin' Up news. Starting on December 9 and running through the 23rd you can receive free shipping on orders over $70. So anyways back to stamping I did up some Christmas cards a few weeks ago using the polished stone technique and figured this would be a good to show. Just an FYI since I've already shown you how to emboss I skipped that step here. I stamped several snowflakes on my glossy cardstock with clear embossing powder.

You will need to start with the following supplies rubbing alcohol, glossy card stock with your embossed image, (at least) 2 reinker colors preferably one light and one dark, and a cotton ball.












First dip your cotton ball into the rubbing alcohol don't soak it just a dab. Then drop your ink colors in a random order on your cotton ball where you have the rubbing alcohol. Do this with both colors or however many you picked.








On your glossy card stock dab the color randomly over it covering the entire piece.








After you have covered the paper rub off the excess ink that is over your embossed image using a Kleenex.

Gift Set

Wow it's been crazy hectic here, sorry I haven't posted for a few days. Thanks for all the comments on the vinyl purse and due to all the begging and pleading for a tutorial I will try to come up with one in the next few weeks. Probably after Christmas. Working retail and all kinda puts a damper on my craft time. So I wanted to share with you all a little Christmas gift set I made.

The Joy picture frame is one of those wooden ornaments you can get from the craft stores. I covered a metal star with DSP and the photo holder is made out of a binder clip. I so loved the paper we had last year it had so much more of a Christmas feel to it. Well Happy Stamping!!

Skating at the Park

When I first saw this set I knew I had to have it for the skating couple well the reindeer too. I knew what I wanted to do with this image so this is card I made with it:

This is one of my favorite color combos! I wanted the main focal image to be in a window type design to I cut out a large oval from the front of the card and placed the main image on the inside. I added glitter to the trees and liquid applique to the hats and cuffs. Here's an up close pic so you can see the details.

Hmm maybe I'll make some more of these for my Christmas cards which I have yet to make!! Happy Stamping!

Vinyl Purse

At convention during one of the sessions they showed this awesome vinyl purse. I've been wanting to make one since then. I'm not a big purse person so I decided I would make a vinyl card holder instead. Before I show you the project just want to for warn you that it is not as easy as it looks. This was much more complicated than I would have ever imagined, I am so glad I didn't decide to make the purse. So here it is:


Even tough it was a bit difficult it came out just like I wanted, surprise surprise!! The best part is I can change out the design anytime I want! The card I showed in the last post was CASE'd from this project. I did use a few non SU supplies. I didn't want to use my jumbo eyelets so instead I used ones I had in my sewing supplies, that way it was a little more cost effective. Cute huh!? Happy Stamping!
