Garden from the Heart
The ending period for the occasion mini is about here and I still have a few projects made from featured stamps sets I'd like to show. I made the following one with Garden from the Heart.

I made this one for my secret sister and was the first time I tried this set. I actually found this set hard to use, but did manage a few cards I liked. I made the sash with DSP and used microbeads on the center clip like thing. I tried putting a shadow behind the hat to make it more 3-dimensional. Happy Stamping!

Comparison
I've had a couple gals how big the Mini Milk Carton die is, so I made a demo one to compare
As you can see the carton measures about as tall and wide as our tape dispenser. But just because it is small doesn't mean you can have some fun with it! I've seen bird houses, milk crates, and lots of other things made with them and hopefully soon I'll have a chance to make some too. Happy Stamping!

Brighter Vintage Vogue
Here is the third and last card that I sent in. This was a last minute card I made when I just couldn't decide on the others I had made.
The colors here are Certainly Celery and Bermuda Bay and they go together surprisingly well. I was sure how this vintage set would do in brighter colors but I think it looks great! I crimped the base just a bit to add some texture. The Bermuda Bay piece is done using the faux flannel technique. I originally had the centers done with Iridescent Ice but I changed them by adding pop up glue dots and microbeads with Certainly Celery as the background and it really softened it up. Happy Stamping!!

Vintage Vogue
For attending regionals we got the Vintage Vogue stamp set!! Woohoo who doesn't love to get free rubber! It's one of those great perks you get for being a demo! I really liked this set and was excited to get it. It's not one of what you would call my usual style but I still had to have it!!
I wanted this card to have a vintage feel to it which to me means lotsa of layers. Again not my usual style but I am pleased on how the card came out. The Cottage Wall dsp really works well with this set. Of course I had to add a little bling so on the center of the one flower I used microbeads, plus it added a bit more color. So what do you think? Happy Stamping!!

Postin' It Up
I'm am altering freak ... I love to take things and make something else. This was originally a magnetic picture frame and I changed it to this:
I miss Kiwi Kiss and loved it for this project. The center of the flower is done using microbeads and a large pop up glue dot. This is perfect for a quick and easy gift idea. Happy Stamping!

Alter it up
Since the friend to friend swap is over I thought I would share the goodies I made. One of our assignments was to alter something. I've been wanting to make a post it note holder for a while but never had a reason to make one so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do so.
I came up with this little cutie:
If you remember correctly I got the set I used for free in an oops order and SU let me keep it. The set is Wild Rose and has been retired for a bit. The holder is made using an acrylic picture frame. So whatcha think?

Card and Specials
I wanted to let you all know about the promotions Stampin' Up is having in addition to the Retirement List. One is the Love You Much promotion and the other is an inventory blowout. Click the link to download the flyer's both have some super product!! Be sure to check them out.
Here is a card I made for a monochromatic swap I did.
I've used this set several times lately and I have to tell you I wasn't very fond of it when I got it free at convention. Matter of fact I really disliked like and almost gave it away. I'm glad I didn't because it sure has grown on me!! Happy Stamping!

Gift Set
This was one of the gifts I sent during the last round of a demo Secret Sis group I am part of. We just finished the round up in December so I couldn't share since I didn't want to give myself away.
So what do you think? My little sis sure loved it .... I liked it so much I made on for myself. Brown and blue is one of my favorite color combos and I was excited to find this little lunch pail that had those colors, I just spruced it up a bit.I also made a match treat bag and photo holder. Happy Stamping!!

Vinyl Purse
At convention during one of the sessions they showed this awesome vinyl purse. I've been wanting to make one since then. I'm not a big purse person so I decided I would make a vinyl card holder instead. Before I show you the project just want to for warn you that it is not as easy as it looks. This was much more complicated than I would have ever imagined, I am so glad I didn't decide to make the purse. So here it is:

Even tough it was a bit difficult it came out just like I wanted, surprise surprise!! The best part is I can change out the design anytime I want! The card I showed in the last post was CASE'd from this project. I did use a few non SU supplies. I didn't want to use my jumbo eyelets so instead I used ones I had in my sewing supplies, that way it was a little more cost effective. Cute huh!? Happy Stamping!

Recipe: Stamp Set - Eastern Bloom, Ink - Bliss Blue, and Basic Brown, Cardstock - Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Whisper White, Accesories- Misc Ribbon, Glue Dots, Crop o Dile, Eyelets (Large), Vinyl and Micro Beads.

Blogger 3 Challenge 1
This week I finally started doing challenges ... not too sure why I waited so long. I've had fun making each of them. This is the 3rd one I've done this week and it's for a blogging group I am in. The challenge was to use yellow and orange and include a flower image. Here's my submission:
I made this card off a case of another card I made which I'll show later this week. It was fun to make something not related to Christmas ... even though I still haven't made my cards. So what do you think?
Recipe. Stamp Set - Eastern Blooms, cardstock, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, and Whisper White, Ink - So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango, Accessories - Dimensionals, Orange Duo Beads, Tombo Multi, and yellow beads..

First Day of Snow and New Promo
Today we woke up to a dusting of snow. It actually started to flurry last night but this morning it was so peaceful with the trees all covered in snow. I like the snow when it looks like this I'm sure later today I'll be wishing it was all melted and gone. So in light of the snow I'm going to share this card today.
I think it's very fitting for this weather. You can't see it too well in the picture but the brown piece is watermarked with snowflakes. The card is rather simple but I really like it. I love using browns and blues together, they compliment each other well. This is going to be one of my Christmas cards ... all my cards this year are non traditional colors. So what do you think?
I also wanted to share with you a new promotion that Stampin Up! is running through November 30th.
You can also click on the link I added to my blog bar on the right. You will save 20% off the cost of Rub On's once you have placed an order for $20.00. If you would like to take advantage of the special you can place an online order using my SU website or by emailing me. Happy Stamping!!

A week of Just Jawing
Since I have a small fascination with the Just Jawing set I thought I would share with you the cards I have made so far using this set.
I find that this set is much more versitle than most people think. With this card I decided to go girlie and use the cherry stamp as the background. I made this card for a halloween swap I am in but it could be used for all occasions.

Recipe: Stamp Set - Just Jawing; Cardstock - Riding Hood Red, Basic Black; Ink - Riding Hood Red, versamark; Accessories - Black and White Embossing powder, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Micro Beads, Crystal Effets and Dimensionals.
