Cute Cupcakes

When I saw the Create a Cupcake set I had to have it unfortunately I have had very little time to actually play with it. Here is one of the cards I made with it.

I'm not sure what this fold is called ... I got the idea from a card I had gotten in the mail awhile back but I'm sure someone can tell me. I used the Sale-A-Bration DSP as well as the Delight in Gladness builder wheel from the mini catalog. The jumbo button helps hold down the flap which is only glued down on one side. Pretty cute!! Happy Stamping!!

Turtle Z-Fold

First I wanted to say sorry for the picture being a little blurry. This was a card I made last round for a secret sister group I belong to on SCS. It was made using Nature's Nest ... I love this set because of that cute little turtle!

There pretty much only boys in my family so I try to make masculine cards to share more often because sometimes it is hard to make them. I folded this one in the Z Fold but instead of having it as an easel card it's more of a stand up card. If you use two different colors it gives a nice effect. I stamped the turtle in versmark and embossed it with black embossing powder then I water colored the turtle with my aqua painter to give it a bit more depth. Happy Stamping!!

Messages for Mom

Here is a card I showed made at my last workshop. It's another easel card which I have yet to figure out how to get a good picture of when it is open.

The color combo I used here is Barely Banana and Rose Red. (I'm going to have to stock up on Barely Banana just for my personal stash.) The DSP is from the Welcome Neighbor paper pad. If you pop up the pictures for a closer look you will notice a LOT of shimmer!!! Happy Stamping!!

First Easel Card

Here is the first Easel card that I made. Judi is the one that shared it with us and I believe she got the idea from another gal.

I like the deep colors of this card and looks so rich in person. Happy Stamping!

Birthday Flap

I found this card the other day and realized I hadn't shared it yet. I think I made it for a birthday swap I did several months back.

What's unique about this card is how it opens up.

As you can see the orange flaps folds over the top and the cupcake piece is what holds it closed. It's fun to try different openings and adds just a little bit of spunk to the card. Happy Stamping!

Simply Summer

Last week I shared with you a card I made using this same stamp set, but a different focal image. This time I used the boat image take a look.

It came out better than I had intended!! Love it when that happens! To color the image I used my water colored pencils and mineral oil ... the only way to watercolor with the pencils. (I had someone ask how that works so I will work up a Technique Tuesday in the following weeks to share the how to so stay tuned for that.)

I wanted this card to open a bit differently so as you can see in the close up the yellow part is that card flap.Happy Stamping!!

Home Sweet Home

When the new catalog came out Just Buzzin' By was the first stamp set I just had to get. Probably because I am a huge bee collector. I have all things bee like. This is the card I made using this set.

Don't you just love it?!?! I sure do! And when you open it up you get this:
cute little bumble bee on the inside. Happy Stamping!!
