Stampin' Addicts Birthday Blog Hop - It's all in the Technique - Inlaid Embossing

Welcome to our Techniques Blog Hop we are having in celebration of Stampin Addicts 2nd Birthday!! If you have been following my blog for a while than you know Stampin' Addict's is a Stampin' Up! only forum where you can chat with others who love Stampin' Up! but also a place where you can share and see some wonderful creations!! If you haven't had a chance to join now is a great time! If you are already part of this great forum you can click on the blog hop banner above and join in on our hop thread!

Now on to the Hop!! If you are following the hop in order than you came from Cindy's site Heart's Delight where she showed off her mad water coloring skills.

I will showcasing the technique called inlaid embossed. My creations for this hop was the first time I even tried this technique and the card I shared in my last post was going to be part of this one but I shared it early. So onto my first card.

This card is a 2 3/4 x 4 1/2. I inlaid the butterflies and the background square onto the base by using the vintage wallpaper embossing folder. You all know how much I love butterflies so I think this card is too cute!! I stepped it up with some bling and that lovely lace ribbon.

This next card I made for a masculine card and it has a ton of vintage vibes to it. This one was a lot of fun and I covered some of the cogs I inlaid with the main image but you still get the feel of the embossing. For this one I used the Square Lattice folder.

Now for my last card which is my absolute favorite of my trio!!

I normally you would not use From the Crypt as a Birthday card but I would LOVE this card for my birthday!! Of course I have a fasinaction with skulls if you recall and since I couldn't use my favorite set I used a current skull one. For the inlaid embossing on this one I used my bat punch and the Elegant Lines folder. I also used some bling, shimmer paint and beautiful bow to top off the card.

Thanks for joining me and hope you like my creations as much as I did!! I'll be sharing a tutorial on how to do inlaid embossing next week so be sure to come back or you can sign up for email subscription, I will also share a few tips then as well. The next stop on the hop is Krystal's Cards and More where she is stealing the "spotlight"!! Happy Stamping!!
