Almost Artisan Project #1

As I was saying several posts back I entered the Artisan Contest that Stampin' Up! held and I wish I could say I was a winner. In some rights I am though because I really went out there and tried ... this was my first time entering and I learned lots!

As I was getting the photo cropped and ready I noticed that I forgot to take a couple of pictures so I only have 8 projects to share ... what's even worse I can't remember what the 5th card I sent even was! Anyways here is the first card I made:

It uses the Flores Suaves stamp set in the Spanish Supplement; one of my favorites because of that cute little butterfly! I don't usually use so many layers but it worked out perfectly for this card. The background layer I did the reinker spread technique in reverse and LOVE how it came out. I water colored the butterfly after I embossed the image and then spritzed it with shimmer paint.
